This is during the Central Town Adventure Trial, but it still ends as being the demo but yet what is achieved in it is not what gets brought over unlike what's actually within the demo itself before this is unlocked.

i think* some of the developers are part of the publishing company so they technically count as the owners of both the publisher and developer are the same people (im not sure about this now, i heard it but i cant find the source)
its why E33 being indie was debatable at first because its a technicality
its published by a british company but developed by a french company so some were arguing it shouldnt count (external funding) but some do not consider external funding to be grounds to disqualify indie, and there appears to be some overlap between employees regardless
due to the rise of crowdfunding and "hands-off" publishers, the requirement to be self-funded is often not factored in anymore
often taking the more simpler "created by a team, with little to no technical help from publishers"
