If you keep it actually still it obviously doesn't move but there's some kind of reading error when it's moving that either shortens leftward motion or exaggerates rightward motion

Happened on every switch 1 joycon I own (a lot) and happens on switch 2 joy cons on the switch 2 system on a switch 2 upgrade to a game

and I think it gets worse if you're ALSO using that same joy-con for like motion motion

Skyward sword uses the right joy-con for both swinging the sword and pointing at the screen

i will center the motion controls, and then go beat up a moblin, and suddenly pointing directly at the screen causes my cursor to sit 2/3 to the right

The Wii had some funkyiness with some of the pointing-and-motion items, the bow being the worst offender by far, but because this was completely isolated from basically any other control system in the game, it wasn't really a big issue

-# unless you tried to play the pumpkin shoot minigame

The Switch version has this issue affect literally everything

Link's Sword? Needs constant recentering
Menus? You're gonna hit that recenter button out of habit by the end
Aiming? Good luck, you're gonna need it
Flying your bird? Actually, surprisingly tame. But the flying was always kinda unwieldy, so you still take an L

The wii remote for link's sword, you will calibrate that thing when you turn on the game and to my knowledge the only reason you'll ever recalibrate it ever again is either because you turn the game off, or maybe it gets thrown off over the course of playing the entire game in one sitting

everything they've shown of it is subpar at best. poor animations, limited dex, incompatible with any other game and locks anything you put into it or catch on it from being transfferable back out of it. expecting a lot of bugs and performance issues like every other pokemon title on the switch to date. large majority of the megas suck. hawlucha isn't enough to make me want to buy it, and then even if i did, once i put it on there, it's stuck forever.
