(essentially, if game releases before X date, we pay you, but then the delayed the game so it won't meet that date)

I want to try to get my dad into gaming more than anything. He's a good guy but we have a pretty distant relationship. Not bad, just not really there...

He got diagnosed with stage 3 cancer like...god...10+ years back, but he kicked that shit's ass like a pro, so props to him...

But he did trail medications instead of normal therapy, and aside from the worst issue of it giving him type 2 diabetes, even though he's not like overweight or had any issues like that prior, the compound health issues of cancer, diabetes, bunch of trail meds, and just getting older has been wearing on his cognitive acuity.

When he's not working he mainly just watches tv, which from my point of view, is more mind numbing than engaging like playing a game.

And there's been a few studies that attest to that, that gaming can help with cognitive functions, because it's a thing where you are actively engaging in the media, using hand eye coordination, making decisions and having things to focus on more than just a random TV show...

So it's just a whole lotta reasons why I'm trying to hang on to my switch and try and get him to get into gaming so he can have another hobby and something to keep him focused more than the news...
