If you think this is censorship, you don't know how voluntary exchange works. If you involve a 3rd party, and all parties must agree in order for an exchange to happen, it's not censorship if one party is no longer willing to be part of that exchange. If buyers want to "help" Steam, presuming it wants to keep certain products available, then they should ask for alternative electronic payment methods like Monero to be accepted. If Steam as a platform would accept it as a payment method, then the card handlers would have less negotiating power at the table with Steam.

I'll admit Nvidia drivers can be a hassle sometimes, but things have gotten better with recent driver updates. I'd recommend Fedora 42, as it gets good security updates on a regular basis. If you want desktop environment similar to Windows, then the KDE spin should suit your preferences better than the Gnome release.

At this point, it seems to be a miscommunication between east-west values. They tend to be overly guarded about everything. If they want to be that way, that is another fanbase lost. Just learn from Sega. They saw folks love their blue hedgehog and wanted more stories in his world. What did that JP company do? Let the fans work for them in numerous ways while abiding by legal boundaries. The comics to games and the characters in them are proof of that.
