@solid sun RoA2 is akin to Melee whereas RoA1 is a 2D version of the SSB. A bit more refined though Zetterburn is annoying to fight. Even against a bad player.

Its not a one-to-one like Brawlhalla. There are a lot of differences so that the mechanics are more dependent on the fighter and their toolkit than the systems. I'd say its more challenging to play than RoA1.

If I buy a console or a game, I want to be able to do whatever I want to it. It belongs to me now.

But, if I do something stupid to it and break it, I fully understand I gave up right to the company fixing it bc what I did was outside the scope of normal use.

I should also be aware that if I alter what I've purchased in certain ways, I may not be able to access certain multiplayer functions.

Imo, that should be understood between the consumer and the seller o.o

I mean, on one hand, I as an aspiring game dev, am conflicted with the Consumer doing whatever they want with my game, because like, You don't rewrite a book, you don't rewrite/cut a movie.
I guess it depends on the nature of the game too, if it's some sandbox experience, sure I can see that, but if it's some Narative experience with carefully placed items to progress the power level not too hard, like say Ocarina of Time as example, you still have a lot of choice in there in what order to progress, modifying the game to give yourself a Jedi Lightsaber or some heatseeking missiles, I dunno it just is not the experience intended by the creator.

So I'm a but torn how I stand to modding as a whole, I personally would 100% make a debug tool that tells me if someone had modded the game to not try to bother with trying to fix their issue they created, because I personally can't be bothered, as many of you said, "your game your problems you created", I don't want to be held responsible to fix modding related issues.
Have a hard enough time wrangling my own code.

But games that support modding are fun, Rimworld, 300+ mods every time, but it's honestly the only game I play modded that's in my memory right now.
I generally play vanilla as they come, unless you need something to make the game work or fix some other performance issues.

It's a very diverse field but the general mentality is usually one of devotion and respect to the original game

I think you're overthinking things. When people go back to old media and point out some off-color things in them, they don't do so with the intent to brand such media as intolerable and unfit for anyone to watch and for them to be censored, its to more so examine how far we've come into understanding why certain depictions, themes, tropes, and jokes are exactly products of their times. There's nothing wrong with enjoying them still, its just important to know why certain movies can have elements that now-a-days would be a bit shaky

It and OG Trigun were up there in being media you studied. It took me my second viewing to understand why Spike is a little too comfortable kissing death. I must have been under 18 at the time. One of the reasons users get wrong answers is how it is trained. The AIs are trained to do what they can to get a positive response from the user.
This caused them to simulate lying in a way. If it couldn't figure out the answer by the algorithm, it made it up to satisfy the condition.

This is how I buy new clothes. I open the stupid department store cards, get their promos along with the deals of that season, usually get about $200 to $500 worth of clothes for about $100.

Tear up the card once it comes in the mail, keep any paperwork that comes in, and do it again a year and a half later for the other season clothes bc those type cards cancel from inactivity after about 9 to 12 months

Last month it reached the 180,000 mile mark, but it is still going strong! The car I had before that was a 2001 Chevy Cavalier, and it lasted me 17 years and 360,000 miles before the transmission finally gave out. Don't really know if my Jeep will ever get that far, but it helps that the area I live in is both rather dry in climate and sands the roads instead of salting them during winter.

The funny thing is my parents bought the Cavalier new at a dealership in Phoenix not far from my grandparent's place. I remember toddling around inside of it as a very little kid, and that is about all I remember before it became part of the family. Since then, it had been with us through 6 different houses, was involved in a fender bender, somehow got sand in the motor, and had a rough encounter with an elk, and even came really close to losing its engine out on the road before we realized one of the bolts mounting it broke, but even after all this it still lasted 360K miles, and it was the transmission that broke. I don't know what GM did to make this car, but they did something right with it!
