Japan's version will be cheaper but with a catch: only japanese language avaliable in the system. There will be an international version but seems to be limited to their online store.

Sucks for me as I was hoping to get it during my next trip to Japan. Because I am sure as heck it will be sold in America for 2-3 times the price America pays.

Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are different games than Sun and Moon. In a way, it's like the old third version (Crystal, Emerald, Platinum) except, it kepts the dual game aspect.

They are supposed to be upgrades but a good bulk of the story is the scene with some tweaks.

Some of them kind of change the story for the worse IMHO

(mostly in regards to Lusamine)

It does add some new Pokémon (which was a first at the time, I believe) like Poipole

Some new areas like ultra wormholes and the Rainbow Rocket quest

It's kind of funny how the "Switch 2 version upgrade" showcase they did in the Treehouse had the opposite of the intended effect. BotW is arguably my favorite game, so I was actually considering the upgrade. Imo, scalpers are going to learn the hard way, that they can't scalp a June release. It's so far away from Oct/Nov/December, and is also after Easter (some families give big gifts for Easter). By the time October rolls around, Switch 2 should be readily available barring a production shortage of some kind.

Ubisoft has been on one extreme where they slash the price on a new release the instant the sales wane so they trained everybody to just say “Well it’s a Ubisoft game, it’ll be on sale in two weeks.” Nintendo on the other hand does not like to devalue their games and they have a lot of evergreen titles, so they never reduce the base price and sales are ultra rare.
