If the process of making a piece of art is part of your enrichment as a person, then I won't take that from you, you're more than welcome to continue using whatever medium you enjoy to make your artwork. I just ask that people be consistent in ethical principles and recognizing the purpose of art, see what the workflow actually looks like outside of slop, and not try to take away those tools from individuals using them. Megacorps want AI to themselves, don't restrict AI tools with lawfare, they already hold popculture hostage with IP laws, let everyone have the tool and keep the projects open-source.

GenAI is just soulless and empty as there's just... no effort behind its creation. you can bring up color theory and all the other hypothesizes you want, but it doesn't change the fact that GenAI is next to effortless and usually results in mediocrity that's so easy to point out sometimes. Well, I did it. I wrote a Palworld Creepypasta based on the likes of 7869.wad (a famous Doom Creepypasta). I have not published it because I don't find it worthy of such.

It is quite badly written, even by my standards, but I am genuinely unsure of how to make Palworld into actual Horror.

🤔 I need to catch up on journal entries, so this is without those in mind.

I would view itnas your character has been kidnapped, memories forgotten, begins a journey in this beautiful world with these amazing creatures. The drugs begin to wear off and that is when they start seeing the dangers(pal attacks), the horrors(pals killing other pals, realizing the people they talk to are insane, not being nice, twist their words. Also the pals being wild beast), the dangers and terrors of the dark(describe the dark pals/creepier pals in dark detail without the Palworld flare.)
Have the story begin as a beautiful adventure with the protagonist slowly realizing their predicament, wondering how they got there, let it be a fear of survival and what ifs, and can end part one on a resolve to find out by venturing into the ominous tower that seems to watch their every move.

I've always viewed creepypastas as a telling tale of fear. Something is happening, or has happened and you are getting an account of it.

A fanfiction to me is a full story that you read the full interactions between characters outside of just the tale of fear.

I think what I wrote above could be both, depending on how the detail is done. It could be a creepypasta if you have the tamer/protagonist explain the events that lead up the next venture. They are telling you how they realized the horrors they are in. Or, it can be a fancfiction if written out in a full story where we read of the protagonist going about their life and we follow them to the venture.

I wrote a horror story a while back. Never want to post it anywhere bc I know I got the overall idea from something I read, but I feel some of the parts I wrote came from another story I read, I just can't find proof of it. My writing is poor, but I feel the story is decentish. I just don't want to claim something I have doubts is 100% mine. Getting an idea from something and making your own from it is one thing, but I just have a nagging feeling a couple of things I have written in there are taken verbatim from something else and I want to find it.

Gets something much more horrific, with literal crime scenes in it.

Discovers it was actually a modification done by a mentally disturbed individual who did something horrible in a psychotic fit.

This isn't too dissimilar from 7869.wad, the difference being that in 7869.wad, it was done as a hobby, rather than a more-or-less artistic display of guilt.

I did try to avoid having an "omniscient/self-aware" game because that would imply either A- Virus, or B- Paranormal, and I think the whole "game is self-aware/knows your identity" to be a little thrown around too much.

Instead, I wanted to show that oftentimes, the ones who create the scariest things are us, humans.

I also put a little thing to show that cats/pets can be a sort of liability with creepypastas.

Like I wrote up a moment where the protagonist gets tensed up from unnerving images, and his cat testing out gravity with a vase scares him WAY more than it usually would have.

A while back there was something like this going around warning about CP raids on publicly listed discords and it turned out to be real.

If you have been messaged by a company and are unsure if it is legit or not, here are the steps to take:

1. read the message thoroughly.
2. do NOT click anything nor respond to it.
3. open a webpage, go to their site MANUALLY and find the contact information.
4. compose a new email to this contact information.
5. take a snippet of the received e-mail that includes the from address and full body of the message.
6. write them back and include your snippet/screenshot. Do NOT send them the e-mail or attach it as they may click something they shouldn't. If it was legit, they will let you know, if it was not, you most likely won't receive a response back or could receive a thank you informing them that those emails are being sent out.
