The first movie wasn't bad. There were a couple things I was hoping would happen instead, but overall, didn't regret watching it.

||When she visits her... sister I think it was (been a bit since I've watched) the child is watching from the window. I wanted more allusion, more fear that the child was in danger. Then at the end, the creature, it was pretty terrifying, but the method in which you see it there, in some parts, took away from its overall menacing factor. I would have limited some of it so it didn't look like she was facing the fear in a winnable battle, if that makes sense. And another reason I wanted more fear that the child was in danger is bc you quickly realize who was going to be next.||

So, nothing big, just minor things I think would have added to the overall creepy factor of the movie.

Why on Earth they were showing it at a kid's program for the YMCA, I'll never know xD I watch a lot of classic horror these days and some new stuff. While watching it, I was just enjoying the movie, then towards the end the special effects and date of the movie dawned on me.

When you see the pattern of some of the creatures in old monster movies, I can definetly understand the added spooky concept.
It might be why they shied away from him seeing his fiance(think it was fiance and not girlfriend) much in the movie.

The effects though.... You see the footprints appearing in the snow, the full body outline in the snow, you see a hand grabbing hay, but you never see what they are using to create the effects in this movie.
