I believe that a fixed outdoor cat can in some rare cases be beneficial. An example I can give would be: my cat Scarlett, if she were on a farm wouls be great bc she is a great mousing cat and insect killer, but bc she knows I don't like her killing lizards, she tries not to kill them even though she still plays with them. She also doesn't go out of her way to get creatures that get in the house once I tell her no. She understands she shouldn't harm that, even though it looks fun.

Nori and Boots would be horrible for the ecosystem as outdoor cats. They would see a bird land and go decimate the nest bc every little thing they find is a fling toy.

So, very rare cases.

I've called on them and called about someone abondoning pit bull/mixed dogs in my area. I also reported my immediate neighbors dog for aggressiveness and bc people driving down the road kept banging on my door and threatening me for not caring for "my" dog.
