I played a lot of ranomd mmorpgs long ago and I fell in love with so many of them. Almost every one of them died out die to the introduction of pay to win cash shops.

But, for some reason, modern mmorpgs don't give me the same feeling as I got with the older ones. I felt like I could immerse myself in those, I was accomplishing something even though it was a painful grind, and I was meeting people worth chatting with.

When I play now, I feel forced to interact with people and play on a schedule just to be able do the basics in the games, I feel like mmorpgs are similar to phone games in that aspect. And I do understand the needing to schedule raids and things, it just feels you can't play casual at all anymore.
(Have to vanish, so if there is a reply to this, it will be a bit before I can answer. I just wanted to try and put my 2 cents in)
