In the end, the thing with Star Citizen, is, if you've given them your money, they've at least secured a Rockstar game level of financing which means they will keep working and creating a game.

There's a playable version now which has a fraction of what a 1.0 should have and you have a right to be disappointed about that, but, making that disappointment into this theory that it's a scam and you'll never get to play it is missplaced

How much does it take for Rockstar to make a GTA? 10 years on average? and they've been doing it for how long? and still takes them this long

Since SQ42 is the campaign they’ve always been particularly quiet about it for hopefully obvious reasons.
