PocketPair have either not received, or are not publicly discussing the patents in question, so the moment everything posted in the media about Nintendo's claim is speculation, please bear that in mind.

Also there are no specifics in the notice from Nintendo beyond the lawsuit is for a patent violation, Nintendo's Press Release (Note: this is not about a copyright claim)

So whilst there's posts and media out there mentioning recent Nintendo patents they have taken out, we don't know for certain if these are involved or if there are other patents being claimed on.

Also a reminder that this lawsuit is taking place in Japan, where the laws are very different to what many people are used to, so claims about the "Legality" should be kept in mind as speculation.

Apparently, this same CM also runs Godot's Github account: some people have reportedly been banned on Github as well, and if that's true, having non-technical activists run your Github account is wild to me.

If there are dates associated with the blocks, they should unblock everyone from a set date forward and do the form for any missed.

But, the understanding I can think of for the form is if there is no dates on the blocks, you could be unblocking past accounts that were blocked and needed to be blocked for the sake of fhe community. Trying to reblock those accounts might be more harmful than asking people to put in a form.

It is one of those things they have to weigh.

Just be warned, your save may be unusable depending on the mods used and if it can't load them.
Have you tried the Steam install validation yet

Yeah you can Clear your "Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64" folder (Whats inside not the folder) and let steam rebuild it

It wont touch your saves

Follow this step by step and it'll make sure there's no busted up windows drivers or system files causing issues

Or what's also likely is that Saber Interactive didn't really tested if the games with the patch (or even the game altogether) runs on Linux and Steam Deck.

Saber made the statement that they work on supporting the Deck fully and that they targeting the end of the year (2024) for it. We should wait for an official response if the possibility to play on Linux was intentionally removed for good (or bad for Linux gaming) or what ever else.
