The funny story:

When myndad passed away, I had to give a lot of paperwork, one of which being his birth certificate. Some time after things were settled, I got a call, can't remember who, but they were telling me that I had my dad's birth year incorrect on the paperwork. I explained I did not, I knew when my dad was born. I had written 1955, which IS the year he was born. But, his death certificate and a few other documents had 1954.... I was confused as to how this happened bc I checked the documents when I received them and they were correct. Well, turns out, at some point, I gave the officials a "second" birth certificate for my dad.... This one claimed he was born in 1954. After a lot of back and forth and headache, getting with the correct officials, it was decided to put "clerical" error and leave it be.

I later called my granny (dad's mom) to tell her that my dad had 2 birth certificates and the whole headache ordeal. ||she laughed and told me she knew. She created the false certificate that said 1954 bc she needed him to appear a year older so he could get his drivers license sooner||
