I've been having to leave the tv on lately. I put something on I'm not too interested in and turn it down. Either my partner will come turn it off, or I'll turn it off when I randomly wake up.

I think the tv helps to keep some people's minds from going all over the place bc they are singling out the one thing instead of the maybe hundreds their mind comes up with.

My point: Yeah, it's pretty annoying and inefficient. I left my last job because I applied to be maintenance there and never heard anything, but we'd have a lot of downtime and have to wait for the maintenance guys to arrive there
