Long ago when both my partner and I were playing league (and this story is bc you kept saying math), they asked me to help figure out the best item combination for a character for certain stats.

I opened excel, looked up all the items, and began doing plug and play. Took me a few days, but I sent them spreadsheets and told them what would give the best straight what they wanted, what would taper slightly and give a secondary stat, and what was balanced.

They tried it out in a game.
People said they were going to report them for cheating.
I never did this math again, it was too much of a pain >.>

It did make me realize how a lot of the ranked people were picking builds though.
