Believe pituitary gland also regulates testosterone and if I remember correctly, there are nerves (the optic nerves I beleive) in that area. If there is an issue with the gland or maybe some pressure there from a little fluid, the gland acting up, etc, the nerves being aggravated would cause cluster headaches with migraine symptoms.

My partner was discharged from the neurologist with a diagnosis of sleep apnea causing cluster headaches without being tested. Took them to an eye dr instead and they found there was nothing physically wrong with their eyes, but they were failing the examinations as if there was something wrong.
That got testing into finding there were issues in the pituitary area.

Some drs ask very little and get you out quickly.
Some ask a lot and get you where you need to go.
