Buy your groceries in bulk when you can, and meal prep when possible - it allows you to buy items when they are on sale and have a meal frozen and ready to quick thaw and heat on days you would have to eat out.
Move money around in bank accounts - banks offer promotionals during holidays, when college starts, etc. Sometimes you can get better interest rates, a gift card, etc for moving money and you'll keep your account number (aka: no changing autopay).
Ask about different phone plans every other month - same as above, they do promotionals. Most phone companies pay them on commission. If they can somehow get you on that new customer plan and get you that discount, they'll do it and you get your same plan for less.

You're facing a faction, your two armies seem balanced, so you engage, to realise that faction has the most OP spells and 3/4's of your army is dead before the enemy even makes contact with your frontline
If it's not magic then it's some niche unit that counters you even if the unit type isn't your counter, you have to know a roster of dozens of units to fight remotely in a competent manner
This is exactly what you DON'T want on a fantasy game, you respect unit types and you don't have dozens of unit types even if you think it's cool, you don't make magic the most OP thing in the universe, cause nobody likes WMD's in their fantasy setting even if it's cool to have on a story
