(You get taxed on the money, but you are now in a new tax bracket bc of that "money earned". This is what bankrupts the people who win the lottery). I would then take his findings and compare them to my tax perons findings on how much I would owe in taxes to he sure all is good. That money would sit there for the rest of the tax year.
After the tax year, I would take enough out to pay off any debts I had, then begin house hunting if I hadn't found one yet.
I would also plan for time off work and a vacation.

Before going on the vacation, I would talk to my financial advisor about reinvesting the money for better growth.

A couple of games tried it before, and it is realistically where the industry is headed.

I think it could be tastefully done.
A banner ad on the main menu of a game wouldn’t be particularly intrusive and if the ads are for other games then I don’t see a massive issue.

If the ads are just random Google ad stuff then yeah, sounds horrible.

If it’s pop up ads too then yeah…disgusting.

As with everything, there is a way it could be done that is a win-win for everyone.

While I'm sure many people might react angrily to the "news" about EA, I think it's good to be a bit realistic about it too.

If EA put 15-30s popup ads in something like Fifa, realistically speaking the average Fifa player isn't going to care. The average Fifa player probably plays a fair amount of mobile games too and will be conditioned to that sort of advertising.

They would never do it in something like Star Wars though because the average player would pushback too much.

I don't expect to see pop up ads make their way into most games. I do however expect to see banner ads in the near future.

IF I purchase a 70 dollar game, or R$350 Brazilian Reals, that is a 70 dollars in USA. There should be NO ads or microtransations, that is now macrotransations. I expect a full experience. No Bs.

I think Deep Rock Galactic kind of handles it better. There is a Startup Screen you can select (which does scroll through any DLC you don't have), but also an option to not show it up. I think there are other places to see the DLC, but can't really remember which ones.

It does also appear on the pause menu however (when not in a Mission).

I want to own the game I purchase. I purchased it, I should be able to play it for as long as I own it, for as long as my equipment works.
