They are losing money having me on the DSL plan. So, they have been trying to get us to switch to a satellite plan from another company they lartnered with. I called that company to have them check if it was viable, and they told me flat out they could NOT provide service in my area. Well, my provider said it was ridiculous and that I would just need a bigger satellite. (Huge commision if they can get me to cancel my DSL account, then a second commission to get a customer to sign up for a new package deal)

Tried to do the RV trick of using a phone card thingy (the name escapes me atm) to use the phoen data as internet, but:
Verizon isn't around me, ATT charges a literal arm and a leg for that, and T-Mobile tried very, very hard to offer it for me but there is absolutely no coverage.
I have ATT hotspot on 2 phones that we use for updates/downloads.
I don't online game much so no issues for me. My partner I think just doesn't voice their complaints.

The major wireless carriers did a lot of work with midband 5G so may be worth keeping an eye on, but if you can get fiber thatād be worth it.

Lightning struck an old antenna on the house years ago and fried the 2 phone jacks. Getting it fixed had a huge estimated cost so we just took the phone cord for the router and went out the window directly into the box on the side of the house

Fiber can work a couple of ways.
Fiber to the neighborhood lets them run DSL through the phone lines the rest of the way, but will be immeasurably better than what you have now.

I understand it taking out the phone jacks, it is it taking out only the phone jacks that is confusing. To my knowledge, the antenna wasn't hooked up to anything.

I remember yelling at my dad for frying the router/modem and the computer a couple of times though. He installed wall lamps all through the house and they had decorative tubes for the cords. One of them was really close to the outlet and he plugged a large multi outlet surge protector in. The cord tube kept the surge protector from plugging in all the way. Every time there was a big storm, you would hear the surge at that outlet. It took child me a little bit to realize the why it was happening.
Still odd to me to this day that he would plug something up like that with his knowledge.

Perfectly fine with that if I'm being honest.
I don't want to put anymore money into the house to make it worth more. The house is still in mine and my siblings names, so by law anything it sells for will be split 3 ways, meaning I will be lucky to break even. An investor would increase my chances of breaking even and would make it where I would have a more relaxed time looking for the house I want to move to. Going through a realtor, I would be at the mercy of when/if the house sells. I want to move to a house that I want, not settle.
Now. If I could only figure out which financial institution has that fancy account so I can take advantage of that super amazing interest rate >.>

I think the worst blunder Discord has done to me is when I was having a conversation with someone in pms. We were in call, I was muted and typing, they were talking. Then all of a sudden, they start asking me why I am replying to them in the group channel.
Was very glad our conversation wasn't private. I had to restart discord before I could see the screen change.
That blunder has happened to me 3 times. Twice in call typing in pms and messages go to channels, and once I sent a message in one channel and it went to a completely different channel. Took 3 days before someone in that channel replied asking me "wtf is this supposed to mean?" Wish I could remember the message, all I remember is it was very weird out of context xD

Player count isn't a supporting argument. For a game to be 'dead', there'd have to be no active development team or updates, no real news about it (I see articles pop up in my feed about the game still), and no active community. Good amount of people are waiting for the update next month.
For an example of a dead game, please refer to: Payday 3, which I didn't even know released until someone mentioned it.
Right now Palworld has more currently active players than Deep Rock Galactic. It doesn't mean much. That's all I gotta say š¤·

Just a little bit of that Steam Deck magic. On Steam Deck, you can set gyro activation with a button or even on the touchpads on the sticks and have those either activate or toggle gyro.
