I just explained I remembered it requiring more and she explained the new process was to get people in and out, I could just mail the payment and they will mail my license if I find that easier.

Ugh I'm sick and tired of hearing the so-called defence of "It's just a game" to shield a game from criticism. Video games are a form of art, for better or for worse, and anyone who says "It's just a game" is implying that video games as a whole are not to be treated as seriously as something else just because they are a game. If it really were "just a game" then people shouldn't care that there are propaganda games in which you can just shoot wave after wave of minorities just because, or a game like Call of Juarez The Cartel in which something serious like sex trafficking is portrayed as being the work of "evil Mexicans". But all of that is okay, because "iTs jUsT a gAeM", think before you open your mouth next time. >_>

No, games should be taken seriously. Games can inform, educate, entertain, or be as cartoonish as they want but failing all of that at the very least games should be honest, especially when they are set in real world settings with real world consequences.

To be honest, A. it's just venting, but B. I'm hoping to curb people in general saying "It's just a game" in general. If we want games in general (which includes Palworld for that matter) to be taken more seriously by other people (for example, those who don't play games, like executives) then I think we as gamers should avoid using phrases and non-defences like that.

Of course not, although I've never heard of that game. But I also don't play every game that ever comes out. There are a lot of games here that people have played that I've never touched in my life. Don't forget as well that propaganda goes both ways and the propaganda of the other side is just as bad if not worse. This is why I mention the clarity of the "line between fantasy and reality." You could have a message but it's ultimately up to the consumer regarding how they receive it.
