That's what's missing. The protagonist talks, not a fan of her personality, and the gameplay loop is different. Overall the development of the second game is done a lot more weakly and rushed than the first game.

In the first game, you had a silent protagonist and nothing other than your PDA and the sea empress to help you. It made it a lot easier to immerse yourself in the world and its story

The game has a nice world but it doesn't like to tell you anything about it. In the first game, you have the context clue of: the Aurora crashed, and you need to survive. Everything else is given to you via radio transmissions or PDAs. Everything else, like the story about the world and its creatures, you gotta search for it. They do a good job of tying that mechanic into the gameplay to make the experience as good as it was. There are a lot of things that could be missed in the first game as well if you didn't want to go hunting, since a lot of its story is told through the environment as well as PDAs and radio

In terms of the experience of Sub2, it's still clean gameplay that's relatively bug-free, and they have okay pacing, they make survival doable and the loop is fair. There are in-depth weather mechanics to look out for. Just was put off by the story and how they did it. 🤷

So I just found out that a former Ubisoft executive turned leader in Microsoft wants to add 'tipping' to games. Anyone else confused about that, I mean they already have microtransactions as pretty much it's own industry at this point. Also tipping is a reward for providing good service, which these types of leaders dont often work at places that provide that. "

PS: Since when was tipping a requirment? There seems to have been at some point a shift from "tips are reward for good service" to "tips are literally the employee's pay because their boss is scamming them"

Eggshells are good calcium, I give them to my snails and shrimp. I've read you can grind them to a powder and use them as a supplement, but idk if I trust that.
You can put eggshells in the filter basket of coffee when brewing to help remove the bitter taste of stronger coffees.
Eggshells in the garden deter I think it was slugs.
Dyed eggshells in resin are beautiful.
