sr's = soft resets, i am doing a professor oak challenge. it's when you catch them all and raise them to have a living dex, or 1 of each stage before progressing each badge/story progression. i am doing a shiny version of it which means they must all be shiny instead of normal. 1/8192 are the shinyness odds. i just got my starter pokemon as shiny after 14050 attempts, which is well over odds, but now i can actually start progressing the game.

Palworld is an example of a game that exploded in massive popularity when it released because of the storm it created with Nintendo and pokemon fans. It experienced an amazingly fast period of growth in popularity for a game that is not close to finished. It was bound to have a rapid decline eventually once hype died down.. as... pretty much all major releases experience.

For a game that is still early access and as far from finished as it seems to be, it still runs really well, is playable, and most importantly, fun. If you want to see a true "dead game", go look at Payday 3.
