I do and don't recommend these snails tbh. They are considered pest snails bc they breed too quickly and mess up the balance of the tank (the issue I am currently having). But, they are interesting to watch.

It started as a last minute, have no place to put the snails after my tank exploded (pressure difference caused the glass to shatter). I set it up woth some aquasoil, sand, and large rock from the tank for bacteria.

Decided to see how well the tank could take care of itself with as little outside care as possible. I put food in it and add water.

I call it the swamp tank bc it looks like a swamp. But, it smells crisp and clean.

I do no water changes. Just top it off when the water gets low, remove excess duckweed or add duckweed bc it is my filtration, and watch.

Yeah. Had a drain fly infestation and had to deconstruct it to clean them out. After removing everything from the tank, the pressure change caused the tank to buckle
