I think it's less about being proud to have a disability, and more about being proud that they are people and not treated as glass dolls in a cage. You learn to adapt. That person I dated learned echolocation, so she could tell the size of a room, the material it was made of, and where I was just by clicking with her tongue. She was also able to determine where the doors are on a subway just by listening for them.

Also, blindness is a scale. She could see well enough to play Super Smash Bros but due to her vision the only character she could play as was Kirby. She could play online video games pretty well, too.

A friend of mine who was deaf preferred his silent world and had an appreciation for the vibrations in sounds and enjoyed music. He understood he was hindered by this, but learned different things bc of it.

I think it is just a perspective. The only people I have met that are proud of a disability without it being a trade off are people I've met online, and they never say anything about learning something, adapting, etc. Which would lead me to believe it is an attention thing for the original question for this topic.

Cable construction I've seen at home has been buying the basic wires and wrapping them together themselves and putting them in the proper casing type needed to be able to plug them in.

If you cut open a cable you'll see different wires of different guages. When you assemble your own, you are putting those guage wires together for your desired product.
Some hardware stores have a section where you can buy different wires for this. But it could come out the same price as just buying the already assembled cable.

I just take the vacuum to it when I vacuum the room and spritz it with my vinegar spray since it is cloth to keep it clean. The fabric is durable, so I occasionally wipe it down by hand with a rag and the same vinegar water actually.
Haven't had any odor issues or stains if that is the issue with cloth.

So, the reason I was banned was for bringing up the conversation that the series felt very left wing adenda'y, and it went on a long conversation with several people as we were talking about character development versus protagonist buff/girl bossing, how misandry comes across in a lot of films these days and is encouraged/supported and the consequences that can have on society, things like that. There wasn't any name calling, insults, toxic insinuations, nothing, I was banned because someone decided they were offended by a healthy discussion. 🤷‍♀️
