Ignore all the negative idiocy that is circulating, make a decision based on legit negative reviews if the functions matter to you.

For me, I enjoy the game. I like the building functionality it gives, but it is still a little funky and needs tweaking.
I enjoy I can capture a wide array of unique and interesting creatures. I can use ANY of the creatures throughout the game. No one creature seems to be better than another right now.
The world is vast, plenty to explore.
There are dungeons to explore (I personally don't care for them, hoping they will add a little more to them).
Npcs to fight, and boss npcs to challenge.
And, of you pay attention, there is story.

The game is in early access, so it does have a lot of bugs. Majority are in multiplayer. Personal recommendation is to play single player or a single player world opened up with friends.

Dedicated "can" be okay, but many have connection/lag issues with them. Usually the 4 player open singleplayer world has the least issues I hear.

Just wanted to update you guys. Reinstalling the game in another drive worked but I realised I may have to reformat the drive it was previously installed in if I don't want the same problem to repeat with another game.

The problem wasn't really a Palworld issue, but rather with the file format of the drive getting funky when having to overwrite some files during an update.
