I play single player, Steam PC version.
I enjoy the game and find there is a lot to do. There is a vast world to explore, lore scattered about in the form of npcs, decent building aspect for base, and plenty of creatures to capture and learn about.
There is a decent array of weaponry imo, and enough hands on that I feel you can't get bored from fully automating (at least at the point I'm at).

The game does have its share of bugs, so you will experience hiccups. I have gotten to the point I would like to play with others, but state of servers makes it impossible for me (I have bad internet), so if you enjoy survival games with others, you may experience burnout after many hours of gameplay and waiting for the next patch.

This is just my 2 cents.
