I think it's important to be open about sucking at something. I dislike that art isn't treated the same as other mediums when it comes to learning. Like, someone learning how to cook wouldn't give up and conclude that they're not talented enough for cooking. But I see that sentiment a lot with art.

I think a lot of the og modern art took a lot more skill than people like to admit. Like, theres a big canvas of blue. It's unimpressive to most people, but the context that the paint was specially mixed and unlike anything else. And then applied with a special technique that leaves no visible brush strokes. That's impressive. That's important.

There's a point to be given in that some art is meant to compel an argument into what art is. But often it's just riding on the coat tails of duchamps fountain.

The price of modern art is more a problem with rich people tho, imo.

I've had a DM that has attempted to play the game for me when playing Dungeons and Dragons, that made the game less fun. Had some party members I did not like playing with because they themselves were... one of them smelled worse than roadkill -.-" best I can sugarcoat it. Their personality was also "the rules are as I see them, not as they are written" which caused a lot of back and forth arguing.

Another game I played was fun, but the DM(Dungeon Master) was a pushover, so if the players wanted something, they got it. It left me underpowered compared to the rest bc I played accordingly instead of creating something outside the rules. Otherwise, I was enjoying that.

I became a keeper (Cthulhu DM) bc I didn't know anyone who played and no one else was willing to learn the rules. Found that I really enjoy the role, I just need to find time to continue writing and players.

Every table top game has it's own set of rules. Some people enjoy being a player, some enjoy being the story teller. The players learn a set of rules and the story teller learns the player rules AND the game mechanics. Many will just learn the rules of the game they wish to be the story teller in. I was already teaching myself the rules for Dungeons and Dragons, swapping over wasn't a big deal for me. Funny ebough, I find the Call of Cthulu rule set much easier than Dungeons and Dragons.
