scarlet and violet was so bad as a "finished product" that most people i know rushed to beat that game in 20-40 hours and never touched it again just so they'd get SOME satisfaction for the money spent.

your average gamer and trash game reviewer also doesn't take EA and final product into account, they take what they see at face value.

take any game you can think of that had a bad launch even after fixing it later - they never recovered because they took too long.

which is part of the issue with gaming, people that play them can be fickle and just dissapear tomorrow and even if the game updates only a handful come back.

take WoW for example up until dragonflight they were losing players with every expansion release - this is an issue with MMOs bungle too many expansions/updates and people leave in droves for greener pastures until you actually knock it out of the park and again, most MMOs shutdown because they fail the test of time.
