Each new gen is another $20. Boom. Prints money.

I swear, if nintendo just pulled a Sega and focused on making games for other consoles, and dropped their consoles, it would be so much better and they'd get shit on WAY less because the same thing happens over and over again.

They add a gimmick chasing that high from the Wii, nobody uses it because if they want active-livestyle gaming there's better options and it's never really done well enough to make you want to play for extend periods with the motion controls, the handheld-ness of the switch is great....until you realize there's like a handful of games that are good for short-burst play, and the rest are better played at home with wired internet connections and pro controllers.....

And then you add on the constant joycon drift and the price of those, and there are people who buy it just to play pokemon or smash for sure, but so many other options for games like that exist that people who don't want to drop $250 for a switch and pokemon S/V or whatever are just lost revenue.

And if you branch outside of the first party nintendo games: The games run like ASSSSSSSSS on the switch. Even talking to the developers of Wargroove, they mentioned how the switch was just a PitA to port to, and it had issues that were patched pre-launch on PC because Nintendo was making them wait to apply the patch, which made the game tank on switch and they even gave me a free PC copy to replace my switch copy because I had posted so many bug reports of different bugs i had documented.

The strat is clear: Just stop making consoles, innovate in the GAMES instead.

As someone who lived in U.S. and in the UK I find it funny how that portion of history is treated/taught differently in each country lol

whats funny is one of the main reasons for the revolution was taxation without representation, which is exactly what happens in the capital (washington d.c.) the people there cant vote because its not legally a state

essentially, what happened was Britain was fighting France Spain and America all at the same time, and took a large loss in the south due to a french surprise attack.

as a result, they decided defending against local enemies (France, Spain) was more important use of resources, and withdrew from America

It really was! Learning more about it in higher education definitely made it more clear to me why the Americans took the actions that they did
