I haven't tried offline mode, but I only have 6mbs internet. I have to turn on my hotspot before starting steam to make sure Palworld syncs to the cloud, if it doesn't sync, mine doesn't work. I swap back to my normal internet and play single player. My internet has cut off and played fine after that, just have to make absolutely sure that the cloud synced. Might have to start the game connected, then go to offline mode? Might be why mine still worked.

Indie developers can work on the passion of the game and put out something they want. The big developers have put themselves in a box where they now have to meet shareholder deadlines regardless of where the game production is at. They gave money for the development, they(shareholders/those who gave the intial money) expect a release by a certain time no matter ehat bc they know people will buy enough copies to make up what they put in and give profit, and they don't really care about the backlash the company gets.

The community I moderated was EA’s only community ran Discord. From EA’s smallest team. A dev team that seemed to really care, but EA’s bad rep and strong arming the game out early clearly hurt them. The community attacked those guys like the higher ups didn’t rush the game out.

Only Elder Scrolls I've really played so far is Skyrim. I tried to play Morrowind but I was having trouble getting into it. I got Oblivion on PS3 but stopped playing almost immediately after getting a Steam Deck. Now I have a backlog that's really large and Oblivion isn't really a priority right now.
