yea okay, but its all so complicated.. we're in 2024 and multiplayer shouldnt be this complicated at all. When do we have to pull out special crossover cable and what not like its 2002

Early access means that you are given the option to purchase the game and play it before it's official release, Demos are for fully released games, as far as I am aware, for steam at least

The only guidance I've seen is that the server must be loaded up as a "Community Server" so it is publicly seen, but then locked behind your password in the settings. The devs are aware of this issue and are hoping to fix it "next patch"
