It's interesting that this game is being compared to pokemon, when the first thing you do is collect stone and wood to craft an axe and a pickaxe, then go out and 'tame' creatures. This screams a cartoon version of Ark, and I'm all for it.

This is the closest I've ever been to this Tree. Since my first day on these islands, it's been taunting me.

ONE DAY.

Tried to have a sulfur base, but the old one (south of Mount Obsidian Midpoint waypoint) was too close to hostiles. Made the mistake of having some windows... walls partially exploded due to AoE. So it was scrapped.

New one at 747, -444 works much better. 7 nodes, walled up, no need to have any contact with lava. With some foundations and floors, managed to seal up all nodes inside. Hostiles do spawn in lava lake on either side, but far away enough to not cause trouble. Made a 3-level building, with top floor having the only door so I can go out and kill stuff. I have to find some way to decorate the helipad.
