you work with the best views!
i do im very lucky :))
so gorgeous
some decidedly mid flower pics
also spooky dark sunrise
very annoyed w self as went halfway to sea but chose another route midway, sunrise would have been so beautiful over the waves tho ;-;
photographed the pink one bc the colour reminded me of @dense axle
I realised I am dressed like the lichen on this rock
mimetizing with the rocks 🔥
Watched the sun rise (very cold)
also bad pic but one of my fav ever flowers ||I have a tattoo of one|| - hellebore
lots of v cool folklore/myth associated with them. one of the only flowers to grow in the winter (‘Christmas rose’), little signs of persistence. all parts of the plant are toxic-! and of course, v pretty
omg so beautifulll
the sky never fails to amaze
So beautiful
Thank you so much for sharing!
ofc
have some bonus awful pics of the moon/Venus I took just now on my commute
The better option: go outside & see them they are very striking rn
Hahahaha
Very strong “mum tries to take pictures of fireworks on phone and fails” energy
Everyone knows the sort of person we mean
Facebook album called “bonfire night 2009 x”, 111 photos
Not a single fucking usable picture
I actually thought the moon picture was cool though!
Lovely crescent
It’s so beautiful rn
Idk if you have clear skies near you, and obviously this was not visible in my pic, but you can just about make this out rn
Praying to the celestial keepers
I saw the moon tonight!! She was stunning, I should have taken a pic
the colorr
They’re very pretty but that is concerning haha
Pics from when I used to live in a desert in the middle of nowhere(West Texas) The one sand dunes pic is from when I was on a road trip(west of Yuma, Arizona)
some of the most surreal landscapes I have ever witnessed
Some videos from my backyard today
love the gorse
no really cool tho !! warm sunny waves
What a VIEW
Yea lovely spot I would've loved to get in and surf but was nice just watching a mate of mine
trip to the pinnacles in the coromandel
Oh coromandel is heaven on earth
yea it was sooo nice id never been before
Gorse season here too - so surreal to see it on the other side of the world, also blooming!
Idk if you have it over there but there is a saying that ‘when gorse is out of bloom, kissing is out of season’
With the idea that it always flowers somewhere (thinking abt it this is a very romantic spin on the invasive species lmfao)
Never heard this but also there is never not gorse in my area haha
Beauty
Popped over the sea to my fav castle since I was little
claiming as my own
Literally jumped for joy seeing this (i am cringe) but this means lilac infused goods soon!! Exciting
cool hellebores/three cornered leek/graffiti of @torpid crow
also this little guy kept bothering me (maybe bc they are territorial at this time of year? idk) & I saw what I think is a cormorant. it was diving for fish
ive been thinking about this comment of yours for almost 24h now. i saw the moon tonight and it was def this way around. hemisphere stuff mayb???
Pretty accurate graffiti
Can confirm the moon was this way around tonight
i found some three cornered leek a while ago and got so excited lol i love safe and yummy forage potential
it depends on the phase of course but yeah! I googled it n ppl in the south see the moon "upside down"
which makes sense when u think about it (globe) but yeah wild
and at the equator it's in the middle, looks sideways
that is a cormorant
also lilacs!!!
ahhh i love lilacs so much
ourple floor💜
OMG Ive been seeing them around n my mom was like hey wasnt that the one they told u u could eat
she rememberedd
That is so cute ahhh!! I love that she remembered it
this is a glori’s mum stan account
YESS i love how everytime we see a cool plant or fungi shes like quick go snap a pic n show it to yout 'botanical friends'
what do you usually make with lilac? i rly want to try making lilac infused stuff but idk how to go about doing it lol
You can make:
-lilac infused sugar (literally just put the blossoms in sugar). However, the sugar will clump due to the moisture, so it is often better to dry the blooms first
- lilac infused honey - pour honey over blossoms - easier option and serves same purpose as above
- infused milk or cream (leave in fridge overnight, then filter)
- lilac water (more of a thing to add a tiny bit of perfume to stuff) - put in steamer basket and collect water in bowl underneath
With the honey and infused cream I like to make lilac cheesecake, or just put the honey on fruit
Lilac also has a natural yeast on its blooms that you can use to ferment stuff. You can use it to make a lilac soda, or add it to kombucha during your second ferment. I made lilac/strawberry booch that wat
(The booch was so pink irl!)
Oh you can also candy the blossoms but it’s a bit finicky
Maybe shows the pinkness slightly better lol
ooo ty
so pretty
Big san pedro cactus at work
lilac cheesecake omg that sounds sooooo fairycore and amazing i want to try make this happen
even tho our seasons are so mismatched ill have to try remember this in 6 months
that thing is massive what the heck
Right? Biggest one ive seen
ahh so pretty! also the building in the first pic is gorgeous, i love the shape of the window
I really like how pretty that building is too
I never go in it because it's the chapel and I have a nonzero amount of religious trauma but I love looking at it
And here's some wetland with a windmill in the distance
these are so gorgeous
PWETTY PHOTOS EVERYWHERE
dandelions growing on the lawn
this is your daily reminder to touch grass today
took this one days ago and forgor if i posted it or not but posting now because i like the vibe
nope! it's been spring for a few weeks it was almost 30° one weekend
yeah I know about that but didn't it like snow after that hahaha
majority of my coworkers are in on so I hear about weather
maybe a little it rained more than snowed i think last week
was rainy last friday but not too cold i had my jacket on not a coat
manifesting sunny days ahead for you ...
but didn't get very wintery all winter except the one time it went -40
ô we had a shitty winter it kept going back and forth between mild and cold and rainy and snowy and icy and windy
it was bizarre
and the lightning storm blizzard which i wish i got video of because it was the most wild weather i have seen in my life not kidding
surreal
it's too dark outside to go touch grass now
tasty treats…
Gonna spam u guys so hard later u are not ready
ooo did you go to a botanical garden?
yes! the glasshouses in Edi have been closed since the pandemic, but the Glasgow ones are open
Sorry for the spam, hope it was fun. Forgot to go to their carnivore house which from memory is pretty good
yess! i love seeing pics of plants/flowers. Botanical gardens are always so relaxing and enjoyable
i go a lot in the winter for a mood boost lol
this is such an excellent idea
so much green
I love it when you post botanical garden pictures Han 💚
they are so all so pretty
There's a big one + sculpture garden less than an hour away from me, I should go there sometime and share pics
I haven't been there in years
whoaaoa those plants look crazy + beautiful
I wish we had that !!!
just outdoor gardens here but not much can grow most of the year
certainly nothing as cool as most of those aha
do u know what the 2 flowers there are called omg I've never seen anything like them
Jade vibes for the blue ones (mentioned above in relation to bats)
think the other might be a mysore trumpet vine
(not very productive) beach clean & shell w/ pleasing colours
these are amazing thx for sharing 🪴🌱🌺 I love the blueish green coloured fern looking one ✨
Right? It’s a selalginella but never seen such a colour! Glad u liked
it went on a quest for uniqueness w the colouring. Also the jade vines look otherwordly
distracted at work & decided to look this up - thought you might be interested. I love that it's referred to as a 'fern ally'...friend of fern... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selaginella_willdenowii
Selaginella willdenowii is a species of vascular plant in the Selaginellaceae family. It is a spikemoss known by the common names Willdenow's spikemoss and peacock fern due to its iridescent blue leaves. Like other Selaginallales, it is fern ally and not a true fern.
Selaginella willdenowii is sometimes spelt incorrectly as Selaginella willdenovii.
I love ferns so friend of ferns - we're on to something. Also appreciate the fact that it shade adapted but went like no, I can handle sun as well /goes into peacock colour scheme
love a good fern
speaking of, fiddlehead season v soon 😋
canada moment
smol flowers

Ahhh cow parsley (I assume lol apiaceae notoriously hard to ID)…signs of spring
such a pretty pic too
that's invasive here in the US
we have queen anne's lace and wild carrot which are both native tho and look similar
Very important to be able to identify the differences because a lot of the flowers that look like that are poisonous
yeah haha i was going to mention hemlock
we also have sweet cicely which is similar but smells of liquorice!
over here this stuff is very good for pollinators - lots of flowers = lots of nectar! but also a shame it’s so invasive elsewhere ;-;
would be so incredible but me neither, some candles will have to do

i love when the sun brings out the green in grass and trees make these beautiful pictures on the ground. i love this scenery
In my Swamp

bringing back this photo from a few weeks ago when it was super warm and summery because i need the vibes right now

This is dope
fr... the miracle of the Drain
When faced with danger, it tucks its head underneath, revealing eye-like markings. Simultaneously, it raises its tail. Depending on its position, you might even observe a face-like appearance, complete with a crooked mouth, where the actual legs are pressed against the second…

Walked through the forests of krabi 🧘
A lot of trees had this spiral thing like the one on the left has it was really pretty and there is a monke in bottom left

the flooded forest/river is so interesting to me, how there are trees in there, is it like that all the time? whats going on there?
Apparently some of the streams come from the mountains and some of them were there cuz it rained the previous day
Woahh
Badass
Okay guys I’ll send today’s photos

mood for today is ichiko aoba playing a concert while seated atop a large boulder in the mountains of niigata prefecture, japan
Truly wonderful performance in the perfect venue for her sound, perched on a rock in the mountains in Akiyamago.
This performance is part of the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field festival, under the title E076 青葉市子「白い聲と花たちproduced by 島袋道浩」(Ichiko Aoba - White Voice and Flowers produced by Michihiro Shimabu
great review
this performance can also be found online on youtube dot com under the descriptive title Ichiko Aoba Plays Live On a Rock
bonus content: a sunny field elsewhere in niigata prefecture, japan
somebody get porter robinson on this beat
I adore the top photo…misty and green…perfection
As an aside, I need to get on that *Ichiko album…mentioned it to @thorn anvil & he endorsed it heavily
i am literally listening to it right now 😶🌫️
you must listen to it by the sea ... at dawn
that can be arranged
ok but ; can we also TALK ABOUT how BLUE the sky is in that photo wtf
I think it’s a polarising filter
(or HDR?) but still very beautiful indeed
i know it's too blue to be true but i wish the sky could be that blue frfr ...
thank u for photography lore ...
I want to swim in it
rosa rugosa (smells like damask rose, so wonderful) & some crazy-vibrant campanula on way home
yesterday pics
the gardens doesn't really have any cool flowers and stuff out yet since it just got warm but I'm sure u will see pics once they doo
my sister and i had lunch in helsinki in this cute park
the vibes omgg
pink pink
walk by this on my way home and in the summer every time i think Omg some pretty trees
they rly hit on a sunny day hard to capture in photo;
gotta love hummingbirds their whole existence is just "speedrunning Being A Bird"
they only know sip nectar and speed
happy for them
seeing a hummingbird is on my bucketlist they are so cute
perfectly designed
maybe i add squirrels to that list
speaking of cool birds though i saw some albatross this weekend!!!!!! 3 metre wing span baby. sorry the video is so terrible though youll just have to take my word for it
no flapping needed though they almost purely glide its pretty cool to watch
it was in mine too i felt incredibly lucky yesterday
i thought he was a bee at first
OMG i love that nyoooooom
oooh are they pretty rare where you are? thats lucky you saw one then!!
there were seals at the albatross place too down on the rocks
its the only albatross colony on a large country instead of some tiny island so its pretty special
!!!!! These photos are heavenly, the colour of the water aaaa
So gorg omg
We had a beach fire the other day
flower
aaa columbines my beloved
was hoping someone could ID the flower thank u ,,
hawthorn, Chilean nightshade, ferns/celandines/cow parsley, wisteria, passionflower
vibes
@ionic willow today's moodboard is ichiko aoba laying on a mossy tree branch in a clearing
I want what she has
do not have words for how much I love this
shade of green/colour spectrum is perfection (bluebells also v reminiscent of spring here)
where to cop this entire moment
noticed a while ago her surname (aoba) (青葉) literally means "[blue/green] leaf)
like she was born to make soothing nature folk music.
while the concept of nominative determinism somewhat haunts me in other contexts, I completely completely LOVE this
bluegreen reminds me of the silveriness of mugwort too…have a Vision here lots to think abt…ty for this gift
i was going to add (but figured you would be bored because it's all arbitrary squiggles to you) the second character in aoba for "leaf" is the same as in 艾葉 mugwort leaf by yu su .. . all coming together.
and was thinking to myself ;; nominative determinism has been debunked BUT ichiko aoba can have it i guess 😌
this is majestic
ya'll are sending such stunning pics of the outdoors ty for sharing 🤧 i haven't been able to touch grass due to the worst allergies rn oml
i live thru these pics sent here 💚
why do my nostrils hate nature so much
anyone else sneezing up a storm?
keeping up the theme here is ichiko aoba holding a giant leaf
taken for the Reference but sadly did not quite capture the colour irl
i support it ... pls post more mugwort
woah how small is that person
very
idk her height but it's both 1. she is small and 2. it's a big leaf
That’s sooo beautiful. I can hear the waves 🌊 👂
mugwort once again not showing up in its glorious silvery green hues but use your imaginations
collection of interesting columbines
misc. interesting. also saw some fox cubs and a jelly
the pale pink columbines rly remind me of @river crescent for some reason
🌊
@karmic prawn, you have just reached level 10!!!
congratz
mid pics but
- geranium
- cascade of dog roses
- found a wee patch of strawberries

Got a nice bouquet today, wondering what this one is called cause it reminds me of a lion 🦁
off the top of my head, dahlia
hard to capture but the sea was a gorgeous colour today ||glas?||
Ohhh 😌🌝👌🏼
without being able to get a celt to weigh in i am going to go ahead and say this is ||glas||

have you ever been to the Colinton tunnel?
I feel like it would be a very Han place to go to
I have not but it’s not SO out of my way
thank you for the recommendation!! I might have to do it
Oh I think you'll really like it! We went when we visited Edi last year
I don't know why I haven't mentioned it before, but yes check it out
This is where my friends and I used to camp out at - It's literally like half a mile from the town I grew up in.
Forest trail not far from my house in one of the "cities"
New River Gorge
🍄
prettyy horseyyy
Vayy’s beautiful pic in #🎵・the₊opera reminded me that I took this (nothing special just. green
)but also this video that happens to have bagpipes in (very funny in that it is so stereotypical)
need damp rainy vibes with this tho…
ooo more trees and aesthetic overcast skies pls
and post that one view of island or something you said
Let me see if I can see the island it in any of my photos! If not then maybe will have to take my camera with me so can zoom a bit more (not an issue am there often but don’t expect master photography)
meanwhile have this photo of flowers everyone
is this anything. idk took it while stumbling home from work
Yes ahhhhhh
Wait I’m going to zoom in is that weird I want to see what they are
Yarrow, broom, I can’t tell if the purple blooms are some kind of scabious or an ornamental allium variety
I had assumed allium
but they could very well be something different
The stem + leaf structure is pretty distinctive tho
Having the issue where all the pics I take are close to the ground/plants/mushrooms but have cobbled together a vague collection of trees and (semi) overcast skies…sadly they are not the greenblue vibe…I have some from the other island I’m going to visit soon but will take more when next there so 😶🌫️hushing for now
you can kiiiind of see the island I meant in the sunrise pic here
These are not very Fable but we move
not weird it's not my garden and i am interested in what these flowers are since i don't know much flower lore
o you came thru
Oooh that tunnel
I want to run through it super fast and pretend I'm in my neighbor totoro or a fairytale
these forest pics are a vibe even if they're sunny also the mysterious island with the sunrise is quite nice
rt
i thought of zelda and the kokiri village seems like something from around there
I must have more foggy ones somewhere, it’s not like we have a dearth of cloudy weather…might be that I went thru what my phone recently tagged as ‘outside’ & maybe stuff got filtered out. I’ll be back…must do better….
Looks like two kinds of ornamental allium now I look, based
I keep forgetting you’re not Scottish Han and you have an English accent 😆
digging through my camera roll & found this picture I took last yr 🦔
STUNNING photos woawwww
the boat marina one with the reflections is rlly cool
roses time
I would love to have a garden like that just full of wildflowers and kinda natural looking. I dont like how manicured gardens and landscaping is here in average america
one thing about america that really confuses me is the dedication to having a really unnaturally green short cut lawn it looks ugly n you’d be better off getting fake grass at that point
Ughh i totally agree. Its so unhealthy i feel like for all the critters. And like I’m that neighbor that leaves my lawn looking unkempt. My neighbors all have their stuff mowed and their lawns get dry patches etc i leave mine lusciously full and wild. But i fall to the silent scrutiny and mow it occasionally. Yesterday i did that and the backyard looked like a beautiful field of tall grass with the stems that eventually look like a field of grain or something, if you leave it alone long enough. Its so beautiful watching the wind blow through. So annoying that like if i dont mow its like considered bad and concerning
absolutely! i’ve so far cut the grass once this year there’s this thing called ‘no mow may’ where you don’t mow the lawn for the entire month bc a lot of insects like bees and butterflies have limited source of food & nutrition while everything’s still growing in so by leaving everything it can make sure they’ve got something until more flowers bloom in the summer
that's such a nice idea
vembanad the largest lake in india
such an aesthetically pleasing image
omg
im in germany rn🍻😜
omg iconic
@thorn anvil 23:30, 02:30, 03:20
That is MENTAL
So it's just perpetual twilight???
yes! further north is even worse. we are close to the solstice so it’s more pronounced rn
Perpetual Twilight is a banger band name btw
They call areas of Sweden ‘land of the midnight sun’ because of this
Ooooh
@frail copper, you have just reached level 4!!!
congratz
In winter you have perpetual darkness to offset so yeah
Good horror trope in fact I think there are some? Based on this
Finding out this is Norway but they called it that when I was there so sticking to my guns lol
Going on a night walk all day sounds so peaceful I need that
omgg these are all stunning, the last 2 are so vibesyy reminds me of like lily chou chou... or something
thank you so much
I always tell my coworkers about leaving the leaves and such for this reason! But i didnt know there is an official month thing like no shave november haha. That’s really awesome!
to be fair I only learnt about it this year ! I do volunteering with a wildlife conservation which is where I heard about it
@uneven rover, you have just reached level 7!!!
congratz
I was just going to say i lived in Norway for a couple months and experienced this! It was so strange having it never quite get too dark. Some of my friends from Tromsø have true midnight sun 🌞 and i always wanted to visit to experience the spectacle!
Thank you for telling me! So cool you do conservation stuff too :3
course !!! and thank you : D it’s truly a dream to do it haha
catmints are so pretty
pollination 🐝
I love photos like this where theres plants and trees and shrubs and then just an opening
rly pretty :)
this photo is a vibe i like it
I'm right in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, so everywhere you turn there are trees, shrubs, flowers, creeks, rivers and/or mountains.
I love that so much. I miss going there
its so pretty and calm
BIRB‼️
This Is Tafi del Valle. In Tucumán, North of Argentina 💞
wow that is so beautiful
Looking forward to these 🤲
I think this is kale but I thought the patterns/colours were cool lol
I just got back from a camping trip so photos inbound
Aaaah I love camping so much
from a hike
oh that’s so beautiful
may be a stupid question but what are they?
from earlier this year in Avebury, Stone Circles & wishing tree
the stone circles are older than Stone Henge, which is not far from there , Neolithic regardless
I really love how humans find such worth in nature, it's so beautiful imo
the stones are frequently used for pagan rituals & it’s believed the stones can grant things like good luck / good fortune if you leave offerings for them ( or even just hug them ) , im not so sure abt the tree but there’s Hundreds of ribbons, string, flowers, pictures & all kinds of offerings it’s rly pretty
that is really interesting and I can only imagine how many stories are tied with that tree
absolutely stunning photos wowwwww
thank youuu :3
love the glistening water one and shots of the canyon i - all of thems
💙
they're very majestic
Idk why but there’s smth abt pond water that glistens that’s so pretty to me
tysm that means a lot <3
glistening water and natural water bits in general is v calming n pretty
nature beloved
so trueee. when I saw that as well there were lil fishies going blub blub and it was so adorable
and the birds were chirping and no one around
so cuteee I love this emoji sm
and it was :)
I went on a trip to texas, nevada, arizona and new mexico w my dad
and my main goal was to just go in the middle of no where
WOAHHH

I’m laughing so hard (but also
) - cheated on my run/stopped a few times to get pics bc there was a fox cub (!! So tiny!) & an interesting maritime scene (I got lost again on the route I have done probably >50 times) & a nice river with bats …the pics are SO TERRIBLE though hahaha I didn’t realise til I got home
will try and…come to a full stop before taking photos next time…
omg they’re beautiful
I love photos that are “messy”
esp at night
this is very kind coming from u haha (whose photos are wonderful)
😭😭 I have those kind of photos too. and I love them and show them off as well! I think a lot of photography to most ppl is the quality but tbh, it’s what thought / experience that place or thing you are photographing has to you.
like these :)
they remind me of the ones you took
not the best quality but the same amount of beauty
impressionist painting
that’s such a compliment… woodblocks are absolutely stunning
tysm

solstice sunrise/interesting clouds/sea of a pleasing colour/fancy purple elderflowers which I want to forage again
I love love elderflowers
so gorgeous wow
all these photos are so pleasing ...
Good season to forage!
I did recently to make elderflower cordial !!
from friday (sorry about the bug or whatever on the windshield lol)
some roses in mine!!
moments before disaster... it started raining HEAVILY and i had to walk home for 1km
@limpid heron, you have just reached level 7!!!
congratz
That is too cool! Ive always wanted to forage and make stuff like cordial but it feels so inaccessible to me. Do you follow a book or is something passed down that you learned :>?
it’s something I already knew but I have a foraging book that has the same recipe I follow!
It’s honestly really straight forward
That so cool to know something like that! Ooo do you recommend it?? I’d love to learn myself
Here is my solstice sunset photo to go along with the others ☀️
100% !! I can always send over the recipe I have if you need it
I would love that! And if you recommend the book that has your identical learned recipe id maybe check that out too
the book I have is Food for Free by Richard Mabey ( i’m from the UK to specify! ) but i’m sure if you’re from elsewhere you could find foraging books better suited for where you live !
So pretty!! I don’t have white roses het I have one bush that gives light pink sometimes it’s bright sometimes it looks white
I love garden roses so Much
sooOo pretty and vibrant

interesting cloud formations & sunrise with visible rays, as seen from the lab window this morning…
also Rosa rugosa (smells excellent) attracting pollinators
used to have a book that told me all the diff cloud shape names…knowledge lost to time..
for some reason the last pics kind of make me feel like I'm there too
such a stunning view
if only! would make the lab more fun haha
I had that too on my “the earth” mini book 😭 great reminder cuz it made me go to Wikipedia and review https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cloud_types
The list of cloud types groups all cloud genera as high (cirro-, cirrus), middle (alto-), multi-level (nimbo-, cumulo-, cumulus), and low (strato-, stratus). These groupings are determined by the altitude level or levels in the troposphere at which each of the various cloud types is normally found. Small cumulus are commonly grouped with the low...
Good times
Bless up I’m going to take notes…I need this info back in my life
I love that you had one too!!
It’s so cute and gives sort of useful hints about the weather too!
Loved that book it was a miniature book but had so much info, and also a mini cd
toads!
Did you take this? Aaah it’s wonderful. How did you process it?
yes I did :) I usually take photos from horrible angles but in the moment. any nature to me is beautiful and after I get home from walks / taking them I just imagine what vibes they give. I usually edit them very slightly, not trying to take away from the natural beauty but kind of what I see in the vibes, if that makes sense
so I mess w the exposure / contrast and colors to enhance it how i saw it in the moment
thank youu :3
tysm <3
great pics everyone you have created a very pleasing evening scroll
Happy midsummer 🌞 (few days ago, was busy falling through the veil of space and time as offered by the fairies/diserna) some dopamine for ya’ll 🧚🏼✨
The colours in this…glas
thank you so much for sharing, utterly utterly stunning…those final two photos capturing my heart

ty i get it i think
quite a lot like the concept of aoi/qing from east asian cultures (colour that once meant all shades of blue/green especially nature colours but today is somewhat lost because they have separate words for green and blue today)
true!!
I want it to be this season always
the first photo ... what a vibe
I never even knew this place existed like an hour or two away from where I grew up. I have mixed feelings, half like I missed out and half excited to find new spots
https://twitter.com/CraigDunmore/status/1673471487871680514 rainbow in ontario
Okay, NOW I’m done! What an awesome chase day! Probable funnel, beauty clouds and a vivid “double rainbow all the way across the sky!”#onwx #onstorm @WE_SEE_
https://twitter.com/CraigDunmore/status/1673452454338240513 aesthetic clouds above green fields in ontario (tornado warning! not rare in southern ontario because of wide swathes of flat terrain with lots of hills abounding as well)
woah… I thought it was sped up at first
mount emei, sichuan, china, famed as the site of one of the first buddhist temples in china
ourple clouds as seen from mount emei
mount emei as seen from the lake nearby

getting up a 4am to get the best shells.... memories
did you take these omg
Yesss
the angles are so good
sky my beloved
strange gloomy morning/distractible & not medicated/nature was kinder to me than I deserved/here follows a visual diary of some things I saw
- sunrise reflecting on sand
- seal (realise this video looks like fucking Nessie but please believe me, this is not a log it is a marine animal) (never seen them here before)
- saw eight! perhaps nine jellies today. even more exciting, saw a new species today, the enormous lion’s mane
- two! four-leaf clovers… saw my first ever only in April & it remains a surprise every time..something about this beach maybe (these remind me of @brittle shell)
things that will interest only me, probably
- wild gooseberries (should check my allotment, I am growing these too) (sorry idk why this is a video it just has me talking about gooseberries - muted lmao)
- second bindweed of the year…unusual pink colour, I am still looking for the rare deep blue kind
- fertile ferns (these have ‘sori’ on the bottom which produce spores) (fern reproduction is interesting)
- some interesting rose species (so many different kinds in flower right now)
- raspberry so early that it is almost upsetting (most brambles are not even flowering yet)
- very vascular or texturally interesting plants which visually amused me
- garlic so large it needed a trellis (hand for scale)
- feverfew which is one candidate in my ‘this could be athelas irl’ headcanon
- bee on a dahlia
- affirmation idk
cont’d (vascular) (also bonus goth plant)
okay done. sorry for the spam & the mid pics.
it may happen again.
oh the affirmation I nearly forgot
love to be like him. someday
no sorry for spam
!!! you bring beauty into our days for free we are grateful !!!! the veiny purple flower is soo intricate, my fav detail from this post though i think is your knitted sleeve reaching out to the underside of that fern
thank u…I am glad u enjoyed
idk if its true globally but it could be (seals are def on the rise in nz) --- generally seal numbers are on the rise bc we dont do the seal fur and meat trade any more? idk cool though!! and jellies aaah
!! I had no idea about the seals but that’s rly cool to hear
more nessie moments if youre lucky
Saw it yesterday evening
i can only dream
I hear there are otters near work too but no luck so far…maybe one day
I don't know, I've never seen an insect like this b4
its perfect
went on a hike to an old castle yesterday
some wild mallows growing on the side of the driveway outside my house
I adore moths v much.
your images / in depth descriptions of all of them is just a charming feature of your personality. these images are so beautiful as well 😭
the 2nd image reminds me of world princess II music video
its so pretty
THIS COLORRR
oh thank u that is very kind of u to say
omg yes! there's like dozens of these old stone castles here and i just realized too that they could be from that mv
wow... I would kill to just chill in an abandoned castle
just play world princess II and pretend ur C
would be so fun
hahah yess
im so confused tho, all these castles are located at the top of hills - like how did they get those big stones up there when they were building those?😭
people used to be so into architecture they wouldn't care. that was the beauty of old buildings imo. it was sucha divine art
i'd be scared doe
and its a shame to see such beautiful buildings waste away. but ngl, as a fan of abandoned/ urban places, this would be a dream
tbh Id go in and have to start putting light on right away or same. a mouse would make me jump lmfao
yeah i've never thought that way, so beautiful now that i think about it and makes me appreciate those more
yess. ireland has so much of this. so does everywhere but it seems the UK has a lot (obv). in the US where I live, we have the huge malls and small ghost towns. even though the buildings may not be as pretty, there is so much history
oo spooky i love that
i was researching china too a while ago and i read that because people are moving to big cities, they are leaving the historic small towns to 'worthless', kinda sad but in europe pretty much all old things are cherished
yes! this is happening a lot now. here in US it tends to be that or people are so poor they cant even afford to live in even the smaller towns and leave. a lot of them here, its weird. it is forgotton and seen as worthless, but, it is still owned by someone.
yeah when i retire i wanna live in a small town and take care of it
meee. either that or just live in the middle of no where with a lil farm
a vibe!!
I remember I always wanted to live in Antartica and then grew up to find the depressing truth: you cannot
greenland tho..
go for it!! im thinking it might be different to live in the future tho cuz of climate change
yeahh there is some worry about that as well as government. but rn I am thinking greenland, switzerland, Kyoto Japan
or if somehow here in the US gets better, Arizona
I love this vibeeee green castle concrete yes
in which state do u live rn if that's not creepy?
LOl that's okay, I live in VA
✨️😊
I do like where I live as itss a mix of town, city but keeping the trees and nature. but I don't like cities so I want to move ahh
what's va😭 i dont know these short terms sorry
Virginia
ohh thanks omg im so dumb
i was thinking if it's texas or florida then it's pretty bad to live in, looking at the news
dunno that much about virginia
would not want to live in either
right next to DC
so thats also eh
I hate living close to DC sometimes 😭
whyy
the capital has a lot of risks living near it imo
also
traffic, cities all around
not my thing

🍫💖
