Modifies the activated Duga OTH Radar and adds lightning combined with psi-emissions.

Greetings, this is the Kaimanov Group.

Upon discovering Dr. B. Kaimanov’s research on the Aggression Suppressor “Veselka,” we decided to apply his materials in practice. Our mission is to test the Doctor’s developments at the Duga OTH Radar facility so that stalkers can witness not only the psi-emissions of the activated Duga — but also lightning.

The initial tests were successful. We invite you to try it out for yourself!

Continued Testing and New Findings

Greetings, dear stalkers!

As our objective is the full implementation of the Duga OTH Radar, we decided to return once again to the Promin CMD Factory in search of additional materials regarding Duga's functionality as a powerful psi-emitter. According to available information, a certain individual had already been here and took some documents — but no worries. We discovered further scientific materials and realized that the full activation of the Duga structure is entirely possible, so we’ve decided to put that knowledge into practice!

We will continue working on the complete Duga OTH Radar project. Stay tuned for upcoming updates and some fixes to the Small Duga. Thank you!

Hey everyone, stalkers! The 0.0.4 update is finally out! In this version, the lightning timing for the Small Duga has been improved — this gives the object a higher-quality effect and makes the lightning behavior more logical. The previous cluttered look has been cleaned up, and everything now feels more balanced.

The Large Duga was also updated — it now has a psi-emission effect, just like the Small Duga!

In general, the Duga is a huge complex made up of multiple facilities, and a site like the Krug Antenna Complex is also part of the Duga system. In your opinion, would it make sense to include it as part of Duga?

Hello, dear stalkers. The mod has been updated to version 0.0.5. In this update, the Krug Antenna Complex has been activated - it now operates as long as the Duga is active. Lightning effects have been added to all antennas, and they are now periodic and logically timed.

P.S. I personally decided to include the Krug Antenna Complex in the Duga mod, as I want stalkers to experience my vision of how the Duga operates 🙂

Additionally, the Brain Scorcher might also be activated during the operation of the Duga — but that’s not certain yet. It’s possible this object will be included in the Kaimanov Terror Emission mod instead.

For the Corona, I didn’t do anything specific — the corona itself is linked to the main beam that shoots into the sky. In my generators_idle (and other emission stages), I’ve placed several coronas

I just made the corona bigger and slower, and a few misc changes like the color....I made it darker so it blends better with my cloud changes

That's look nice, but without cast shadows from light sources it looks flat

I think that the immediate red lightning columns on the Generators at the beginning of the Emision look a bit out of harmony with the rest of the scene, and a transition could make it better - usual plain blue lightning at the beginning, and a smooth transition to warm colors of lightning columns at middle of the Emision

Hello everyone, stalkers. In the near future, all mods will be updated to version 1.6 (although there shouldn’t be any issues for now). Additionally, the Kaimanov Terror Emission mod will get an update with more sparks and so on. I also planned to add an anomaly for the Generators that would activate during an Emission and deactivate once it ends, but at the moment there are some minor difficulties with this.

Furthermore, for all mods that use lightning, I’d like to add more liveliness and realism in terms of sounds. I understand that the effects are already quite a good aspect of the gameplay, but sounds are extremely necessary. As far as I know, it’s not yet possible to add sounds, but this still needs further research. Stay tuned for updates, thank you!

Greetings, stalkers.
In the next update of Duga, expect some minor changes on Small Duga (mostly cosmetic tweaks) and new effects for the Brain Scorcher. For the Brain Scorcher specifically, there might also be some additional cosmetic effects — I want everything to look visually appealing.

Work on the sound design is also in progress. Even without a WwiseAudio update, the sounds already function, though a bit “rough.”

One of the ideas was to add a psi-effect for Duga. One version actually worked — across the whole Zone, due to Duga’s operation, the player experiences a periodic psi-effect. It’s currently being tested. The issue is that the psi-emission effect (like those from Controllers or psi-lamps) is still a mystery in the Zone Kit — I can’t figure out how it works, and there’s no documentation about it.

In the upcoming updates, the main goal will be to add lightning effects for Big Duga. Stay tuned for the next updates and news. Thank you!

Thanks to the powerful energy output, the Large Duga has been connected to the power grid. Dear field operatives, please be advised: exercise caution near these facilities!

-The Small Duga has a visual electric lightning effect and additional lightning sound effects when you’re close to it;
-The Large Duga has an identical electric lightning effect and corresponding sound effects;
-The Krug Antenna Complex is active and accompanied by both sound and visual effects;
-The Brain Scorcher operates partially — only the antennas that were active according to the lore of previous game installments are enabled.
