from what I remember being told to me, and this is with like a grain of salt because I heard it second hand from other family and he was really old when he told it, he got taken pow the first time just by being unlucky. He worked on trains in latvia and was the first guy to respond to a late night call about an unidentified train cart ?

And saw some awful things on that cart before being taken a pow by the germans cause they thought he had info on the russians

I wish the guy was still around to fact check some of this story and so i'd have more info abt it, but the guy lived to like 108 so I can't complain

Also he was like heavily traumatized so it's not surprising he didn't talk about it much

The only lucky thing to have happen to this guy that i've heard of was that he thought his family was dead so he moved to canada after the war but he learned later that they weren't and that the family farm was fine so he moved back to Latvia

Since you are not signed in when you click on an embed video, that's why it's happening on discord too. So the issue is youtube probably made it where it's mostly impossible to watch without being logged in
