@autumn robin I think you're misunderstanding where I'm coming from. I love AKs and I desperately want there to be good American made AKs but they just aren't there in my opinion. KUSA probably came the closest but probably more of those parts were made in India than the US and Jesse James and his pornstar wife crashed and burned the company before they could really get going. PSA does OK, but to keep things cheap, they cut corners on some pretty fundamental things that do affect the quality of the gun. I can go into more autistic detail if you want, but that's totally up to you. Their main issue is just plain inconsistency/poor QC though. Imports also aren't that rare in the US. They're still pretty widely available (except for from certain countries) and many are in similar price ranges to PSA AKs

It all depends on the salary. Whatever the job, if it brings money, you sometimes have to suffer in order to enjoy it later. But if you don't like the process of work so much, then you need to change your activity. Don't have knowledge? You have to spend extra time after work to eventually switch to another one. I had a friend who went through IT, legal professions, and art. And only in the end, she realized that she liked it. But don't confuse the very essence of the profession with working with a company that you may not like because of the conditions, etc.

Ultimately, our lives are made up of trials, mistakes, and our suffering, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking for what we want to do.
