I didn't learn anything new today but at least I've unlocked some memories of borderlands 2 gravnades throwing around some debries here and there

Yeah, people say that F.E.A.R. and Borderlands 2 and some other games are unplayable on newer cards now

yah cus older physx when you force it to render on the cpu

it runs like turbo aids

it NEEDS that phyiscal hw support

Honestly? Physx is cooler than rtx

rtx can be cool as fuck

but few games use it well enough

for it to really be like wow.....

with physx it was a lot more apparent

The only games I know that look cool with it are minecraft and control

is rad as hell

Also, when I worked on unity (Nothing serious, I'm not a gamedev)

There was a hw accelerated particle system that allows you to use millions of particles with high fps

And these particles can ineract with the world and stuff

They could be 2d and 3d, they could react to light, etc... Basically, it was like physx stuff...

Sooo... I forgot what I wanted to say, tbh. Basically, not everything on unity runs on CPU, that's what I wanted to say

So maybe that particle system is based on physx? But it runs on AMD with no problem at all...
