Imo all that stuff should be so ancient cards can chug their way through games they otherwise couldn't play, not so DLSS and framegen on your 4090 can compensate for poor optimization or experimental tech.

I booted up COP not too terribly long ago and did my ancient tradition of heading straight for the burning farm for the VSS, and man between the supressor and the lack of aimbot within the older games I felt like some sort of ninja when I jumped a bandit squad. They just sorta panicked in confusion while their comrades dropped one after another. I found the last one literally hiding in the bush. @simple prairie In CotZ, even if the Monolith Trader is hostile, you can still join them. However I advise you to dump all your weapons, armors and artifacts in a nearby chest before you do that.

Doing X-19 has two choices. 5 of the Factions force you to do the Monolith infiltration job (you enter X-19 as a Monolith) while 3 of the Factions offer the regular X-19 as your current Faction to enter.

oh yeah sometimes when in monolith infiltration mission, the player wakes up with nothing, not even pistol. and depending on A-life, the player can wake up surrounded by hostile stalkers with high tier weapon who gladly fires at player lol

Clear Sky, Ecologists, Freedom, Loners, and the Bandits, make you do the Monolith infiltration job. You lose everything (store all your stuff in chest before you accept this job) and then you are drugged and magically appear in Pripyat in a Monolith suit with nothing other than an AK. No artifacts, no supplies, nothing. You have to go to the Monolith Base and start from scratch. You can of course travel to where you stashed everything but often it is at the enemy base that you took the job from.

@twin cairn Take the job from Duty, Military or Mercenaries, if you want the normal X-19 job regardless of the Faction you are in. Of course you need good relations with one of the three Factions to get the job from them.

I think 1440p is the sweet spot for a bigger than 20" monitor with solid pixel density, while not quite being 4k level intensive, but for high frame rate gaming 1440p almost feels as or more borderline than it was in 2015, every time 1440 or 4k starts to look like the new 1080p or even 720p then some poorly optimized game comes out that makes you reconsider 1080p again.

We get along so I generally try not to recreate an actual war when I shoot and don't stay out there for hours like I used to when I shot on the family farm, but I think I'll just go shoot a couple cylinders and then drive down to the closest one and just make sure it's not too terribly bad.

He shoots his benelli M4 at groundhogs sometimes so he's cool about some gunfire. But this colt anaconda sounds as loud as my AR with the most wicked brake on it so I'm kinda worried it might still sound like a 9mm fired right outside their window or something, so I'll just ask to be polite I think and then get with it. Probably not gonna shoot 100 rounds in one day or anything anyway. .44 mag is gonna make your hands tired eventually anyway.

It's dead quiet. It'd be something I could shoot 8 hours straight without a problem even if the worst Karen's out there replaced one of my closer neighbors. It'd also be hearing safe. So that's definitely been a persistent consideration, plus they're usually on the cheaper end.

The flipside is in a defensive sort of situation I'm genuinely a little concerned that'll happen when if I actually fired that gnarly braked AR with full power 5.56 inside of a room. It'd be unfathomably loud...so 5.56 can would definitely reduce the lifelong tinnitus if I ever needed it. But then again, unlikely and I dunno if I'd want a rifle can on a 22 pistol. I'd imagine it might even require a riser or something. Those are probably the the 2 top runners though. I see no reason to thread my 30-06 for a can and 9mm costs more to shoot than .22. I don't think I could get a threaded barrel for my 10mm and it'd still be far from hearing safe so 40 cal is out. Yeah guess .22 something makes the most sense
