A-Life is interesting in the original games. I cant say what kinda difference it makes in original games without it. But, in Stalker 2 - I dont think its too noticeable. I did start using the A-Life extended mod but, I there are only subtle additions like more distant gunfire - otherwise its roughly the same. I think as well, players have to understand - that in something like Anomaly it does feel a bit tense walking The Zone but, its not like there is a gunfight every 5 minutes and a lot of the time, you may see traveling hostile Stalkers and avoid them entirely. I think one glaring difference is the occupation of POI and shelters. I felt like you could expect a firefight and needed to plan for one every time you wanted to enter a building.

good question, im actually trying to figure that out right now with two computers.

• I assume if you want cash, You can find computer shops or places that will buy older tech for pennies on the dollar. might make a few bucks outta it. At least take any valuable data off the hard drives n reset it.. or just take the whole hard drive.

• If it has tech n parts that are worth money. like a GPU, you could remove it and sell it at a markdown and get some cash back from it.

• Or suppose you really don't wanna bother going the route of selling because you don't have time for that and the payoff isnt enough. Reach out to some friends who you know want a new PC, and either: sell it to them, or just give it to them.

I have 2 computers I need to get rid of. I'm pulling the hard drives out of the first one, and mailing it to someone I know in the east. The terms is they buy the shipping label on their end. And my other PC (Currently using but will replace in a month), I'm harvesting all the drives out of it, the powersupply, and the GPU. And I'm mailing it to another friend up north. Taking advantage of the fact I have a box large enough to keep the case secure for mailing.

I don't believe in charging friends money if I'm giving them an unfinished computer (drives removed, GPU removed, power supply removed). So I just say "pay for shipping and its yours" and leave it at that, since whats left is still stronger than their current system. - and they can just swap some parts over from their old unit like the GPU, hard drive, and power supply.

Unless you're gonna have a backup pc.. Its better to get rid of a PC you don't intend to use anymore. The longer you wait... the less its worth. So you might as well part with it while you can still make money off of it; or, find someone who'll benefit from it.

And if you can't sell it, or no friends want it.... Maybe reset it and donate it? Better than it ending up in a scrapyard. Maybe some schools, libraries, or local businesses could use another computer.

I'm not a massive older game player even though I seem to own them all. I've modded all my consoles, downloaded all the US libraries of games. Yet, I always return to the newest games cause they simply play better and look WAY better.

I do like Project Zomboid, but I think that PC might be a tad overkill to run as the server. At least power draw wise.
