Don't forget the elements of immersive-sim. Enviroment in stalker works for both animals and stalkers as well, except for radiation but it is another story.
There are plenty of moments that you imo cannot recapture in a movie. Imagine a bloodsucker is chasing you, you're running away from him, you're low on ammo, and you caught him in the anomaly that instantly kills him.
Will you be able to recapture this in a film? Without any problem
Will it bring you the same emotion in a film form? I doubt
