100%. After six years, I definitely think they’ll refine the foundational elements that KCD introduced to the scene, in addition to the behemoth content additions. I just can’t freaking wait, bro.
Really wonder what the former cast will be doing. It would be remiss of WH if we can’t reconnect with Theresa, Matthew and Fritz, Matthias and Johanka, the lords and sergeants, and of course, our favorite Father Godwin! So much potential for additional interaction and character development.
I will say, the combat mechanics are what I’m hoping to see in greater detail than other game attributes. I love KCD’s system, but I personally believe a more free-flowing system (a la Mordhau) would be more conducive to fluid fighting.
Introduce Mordhau’s real-time striking mechanics, but retain KCD’s combos by allowing for the different “zones” to still exist.
So every zone has multiple striking angles, but is still separate from the others for combo purposes when you’ve struck an opponent the proper way. Even still, I’m sure it’ll be a blast. The trailer definitely showed that combat feels a lot snappier and heftier.
