Hey i'm currently playing through Lost Alpha DC, i was wondering If it's okay to kill military for loot etc. like in the original game, because from what i know there are some military related quests and a reputation system, on top of that you can avoid most of the fights here.

I only remember one military guy who gives you quests.You meet him much later in Countryside level.In the military checkpoint there.I think he wants you to find rare artifacts and give it to him for better price.Until you get to countryside you'll most likely have most of the artifacts he asks for anyway.It's your call if it's worth it or not.

quick question, finally gunna try out modding and i got a few so far i like how easy adding mods can be but ive run into a few that confuse me and i wanna make sure i do this right.

i use JSGME, and some mods will have multiple different addons inside em, like Damiens animation compedium. one big file splits into 6 each for new animations for binocs, bolts, detectors etc. Do i take each of those files and install their gamedata or do i take the folder holding all of these and install that? if that makes sense

I have been trying to install memories of the zone for Shadow of Chernobyl and I'm at the last step which says I should "Add the -steam parameter to the end of the target field in my game shortcut properties". Freeplay: Anomaly (mediocre story and quests, lots of content and added difficulty, lots of addons) or Dead Air (not focused on story, but more on hardcore survival and much slower progression than Anomaly)

Hey guys, any idea why modifying the animation associated for a weapon crashes SoC? It would be nice to assign some of the vanilla guns their unused animations, but the game just crashes. All I have done is rename the associated animation in the config file, for instance draw -> draw_r (Yes, the animation exists in Blender, and is named exactly this when opening the .OGF with Notepad++, so in theory it should work).

coc has many out of memory crashing problems

and its because it does use a 32 bit engine which only holds 3 or 4 GB (if you are using mods it makes it worst to play)

but in a 64 bit engine it holds more than 500 GB (even more than 1TB)

note : coc isn't like standalone because it needs a clean version of STALKER CoP Just to track if its a legal version or not

But if you use -skip_reg it will work fine without CoP

I want to edit some stuff for Call of Chernobyl, and make my own mod.
I need blender for what i want to do, and i got a addon for Blender from Pavelblend, Wich allowed to import and export ogf files, and xray stuff in general.

Now, whenever i try to install the addon to blender, it simply doesnt. i get no feedback from blender or anything. I use Blender version 2.93.

I hope someone knows how to solve this problem so i can finally start getting into modding Stalker.

I've been playing Anomaly and for some reason I can't get rid of the bleeding status effect. I have used like 5 bandages, a couple pills, and went to the medic twice and I'm still bleeding. I've just installed SoC for the first time today through Steam and want to install Memories of The Zone as well as the launcher, but I'm having trouble installing MOTZ on account of the installation instructions referring to folders that I don't have. First it refers to a "Base" folder of the mod, ok that's probably "gamedata". I pasted that into the main game folder at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl" and I added on the mod's patch as well. The instructions then say to open a "bin_x64" folder (which I don't have, I do have "bin") and create a shortcut to "XRengine.exe", which I also don't have. I have read boredgunner's modding steam guide, which mentions "Documents\Stalker-SHOC" which I also don't have (_appdata_ is in the steamapps one). I have launched the game once but not actually created a save. Haven't tried to make any progress with the launcher, thought I should get MOTZ going first.

1. Came to Pripyat, got quest - help militaries. Cleaned whole map - quest still active. Spoke to lieutenant - still active. What to do?
2. Took quest from lieutenant (speak to scientists), but npc is dead. What to do?
3. Cant reach Ghost in hotel - door is locked. What to do?

I notice that too sometimes. Imo it is because the environment is really detailed in some locations. When you pair it with the shadows and sun shafts you get at dawn or dusk, it looks gorgeous. Where it lacks is grass density and distance, terrain quality and NPC/item model quality. The janky animations don't help either

Hey, fellow stalkers! How many of you have got Boomsticks and Sharpsticks? I noticed that some of the animations are either messed up or missing (such as reload animations when clearing a jam). Also, some weapons have weird fps drops, like the AK Alpha in 762x39. Any of you have similar problems.

I don't think the problem is with the translation. Because before if it worked well for me.

If you have not already, try resetting all of the options to default and see if that has any effect

provaks should have 0 issues with warfare in and of itself, I use it also personally, though heavily modified with a bunch of addons,

You also could attempt to run around to areas you think may be a spot that should be capturable, and if it starts capturing, then it would narrow it down to a UI issue

rather then an actual gameplay issue

taking a look at the translation files, I did see some UI stuff in scripts, but ehh, if you said it worked before, well I have to assume some of the settings are simply not setup correctly, or there is a slim chance that your download or installation was corrupted slightly

I would try re-installing, but leave out installing the spanish translation, test it, if it works good, then install the spanish translation, if that breaks it well

I am installing the Sky Reclamation Project for Clear Sky and there is an option for "Prefilled Stashes" and "Prefilled Randomized Stashes" but I am not sure of the difference between the two. The .txt file doesn't make sense to me.
Prefilled Stashes: "Makes it possible to acquire the contents of a stash without first buying or looting the stash coordinates."
Prefilled Randomized Stashes: "Does what 'Prefilled Stashes' does, but also randomizes the stash's spawn container on its designated map."

On anomaly 1.5.1 I'm starting to try out the disguise system..

And I seem to be unable to deal damage while disguised

I can shoot pretty well anyone in the face, and not deal damage or have my suspicion factor raised

sounds like something in the settings is setting enemies to invincible for same faction. Im assuming your shooting an enemy faction that you are disguised as? though, that shouldn't be an issue anyways, ill take a look at the settings and see if theres anything in there causing the issue

Yeah, seems to only happen while disguised, as soon as I remove my disguise the game returns to normal and I can deal damage and everyone sees me as enemy
