When I previously said the curved road mostly played vanilla that is sorta true, for gunplay and that sort of thing. There is one big difference though that totally breaks game balance which is the added in repairs to equipment and they are stupidly inexpensive. Very busted. But if it's your 50th time playing SoC anyway I don't think it's a big deal to have that change.

Electro Anomalies.There are 2 in the Great Swamps,1 in the Junkyard,1 in Agroprom 2 in Rostok(Wild Territory) and 1 in Glade.Keep in mind that Flash is a rare artifact and you'll also need an electro-type artifact to open locked doors inside labs.Flash,Moonlight and Bengal fire are the best ones for this.Idk If the Battery artifact works tho.

SoC and CoP have the Gunslinger mod

It's great, I finished both games with it. SoC especially lets you free roam the game provided that you went for the true ending

What I dislike about SoC Gunslinger is that the upgrade trees are limited to one tree, if you decide to go for the servomotor upgrades on an exoskeleton you're basically locked out of the armor/anomaly protection upgrades.

For guns it's kind of a different story, you have to go through one upgrade tree before going to the next. If you want to install laser/flashlight combo on an AR-15 you need to go through the mag upgrades

Also the stuff that technicians can upgrade is based on the area they reside in and what the traders there usually sell. Nitro resides in Rostok and can upgrade Warsaw Pact weapons

Meanwhile Freedom's mechanic in army warehouses specializes in NATO weapons

Say you buy an exosuit from Freedom, only the freedom mechanic can upgrade it

The bone stock exosuit and Duty exosuit can be upgraded by Nitro in Rostok

Also yes you do have to grab tools for each mechanic. It's only one per mechanic though
