no, that's not how modding works
most of mods for stalker are standalone total conversions
and those that aren't you need to install simply by drag&dropping the files to the game's folder

not sure what that means but there is a mod that enables COP debug config menu ingame so you can spawn items, spawn beta vehicles, etc
or as nozar said, and sometimes edit the fsgame.ltx file to set the "gamedata=true"
in conclusion. to mod CoP mostly it is copy and paste the mod to "gamedata" folder. to uninstall the mod, simply delete the "gamedata folder"

Not really, most are standalone/total conversion mods with their own stories that can't really be modified
If they are modified, it's with something like gunslinger or a different engine
Stalker mods (that arent freeplay) are also generally not stable enough to build a huge network of mods on top of any of them
So there's no real need for a mod manager
There are some face-lift mods for CoP if that's all you're looking for
I haven't played them though, so I dunno exactly how good they are
I would recommend playing a good story mod
They are a little janky but they have a hell of a lot of soul
Incubator, Dreamcatcher, Goldsphere, Return to the Zone, Spatial Anomaly, Wind of Time
I haven't played a couple of those but everyone says they're great

For example, People found it tedious to conquer the Wild Territory and then shortly later, more men and mutants would return (respawns) to repopulate the area. As if they expected a linear game where once you took a level it was yours. That's not the way the Zone works.

Master only makes less loot spawn on bodies, but not natural spawns of artifacts, which means you can just stock up before going out on main quests
