My mutant boxing skills have greatly improved over the last couple days of playing OP-2 after dying a lot

1000% my quick-snap shooting skills have been honed by blind dogs in RTTN screw stealthing around them

A bunch of zombies and ghosts spawned around me middle of the night from some event and they are real bullet sponges so melee is the only good option

Well shoot the ghosts but punch the zombies

Now I've gotten pretty good at doing it with fleshes and boars too

Dogs are a little harder because you have to crouch to hit them

Though sometimes you are in for a nasty surprise because a different time I punched a zombie and it exploded

i haven't tried a melee weapon in RTTN yet but you're realllly making me want to try

I dunno if they will work as well in RTTN, or if they are balanced to be useful

They are very jank and you have to figure out how to actually hit things with some trial and error

One thing that makes it easier and more viable in OP-2 is you are very mobile so it's possible to dodge a lot of mutant attacks then hit back or circle around, or even just jump at them from a sprint and clobber them before they fully aggro

ahhh in rttn they're in packs of 5 or 6 minimum so that you're forced to stealth them, so its def. not gonna work out for me hahah

There are some real hordes of mutants in OP-2, but yeah your tactics have to change then. Either trying to group them up and grenade them or just run

Against my better judgment I took a side mission from barkeep when I first got to Rostok to clear out a mutant camp past the northern duty checkpoint and it was 3 chimeras, one of which exploded like an Electra anomaly when it was damaged

But I climbed on top of a truck and grenaded then shotgunned them

It is really an insane experience but if you know the games pretty well it is an interesting challenge

There are several flights of stairs you need to ascend, each of which slowing you down to walk speed unless you jump, and that is inconsistent, and it catches up to you anyway

It literally kills you through walls

If its an entire level below you it'll still kill you

This is in the first map by the way

Why do you think so? It works, but according to different principles. Making static lighting in the 21st century is generally a dubious idea, and most importantly, it will take a long time. You can make your life much easier if you work exclusively with dynamics.

Static lighting means endless work with shaders to correctly display objects in the game, time-consuming compilation of locations, and many other factors that will tell you “better dynamics”
