stason's fork is certainly an experience, but not something everyone would enjoy

CoC stason is nice and progression is relatively smooth. But since it is 1.4.22, i suggest to Sleep oftenly because the smart AI will get bugged if you don't sleep for days

CoTZ is good too, i like it because unlike any other freeplay mods, you need to actually grind for it. Doing quest for factions so to get better ammos and weapons, the better your goodwill to your faction is. So you don't randomly find High tier weapons and ammo early in the game

Dead Air seems have weird reputation feature: Killing military, ecologists, dolg and military is angry at you. Killing bandit, freedom is angry at you. There is a mod that disables that feature, so kill military, only military angry at you, kill bandits, bandits angry at you. Is it worth to install that mod, or that reputation thing is not that big problem ? Cause idea of shared reputation between couple factions is not working for me, cause not any faction is neutral to you.

Hello, everyone. I'm running into an issue where my modded Anomaly is missing certain weapon models which makes the game crash when attempting to load or query(?)/ferch(?) those files. I've had little success in researching solutions.

At first it was the base game's AK-105 wpn file from the "dynamics" director. Now, it's the Remington 700 from the base game. I do not doubt there are more missing

I thought at first it was BaS overwriting files, but after deleting and reinstalling Anomaly, the AK-105 issue was replaced with the Remington 700 issue.

I'm new to modding Anomaly, so if anyone is willing to help out a newbie, I'd greatly appreciate it!

its story is mediocre and boring with concepts that other mods did way way better,some side quests are good but most are just ehh,most of your choices dont matter and everything is overly scripted,the writting is all over the place and the entire story gets bad at the ending,the gameplay limits itself to running around and ignoring anything that will waste your time,the shooting is bad with any semi firing rifle feeling very very bad due to animation errors or scipting errors,it is visually pretty but many of its menus are unweldy and clunky with them being annoying and removing QOL that existed since the release of the game,the mod was overhyped since it was announced and it underdelivered way below the belt

Why almost all mods disable zoom feature when you aiming with rmb ? I think all purpose of aiming with rmb is to see better, and iron sight will help with that. In original games this work as intended. But mods think differently. I even have somewhat argue with SoC Gunslinger mod developers about it, I was forced to repeat the same thing for thirty minutes so that they could help me to edit configs so zooming feature would work.

In real life you actually zoom. Get weapon closer, close one eye, focusing and then shooting. Its different when you just shoot from the hip. And yeah, real life and video games comparison always lose. In real life you dont have hud, interface, saveload, croshair and settings. It doesnt mean that games shouldnt have it. But i understand what you mean, but for me this thing is just annoying. I aim not to just have more weapon accuracy, i aim to see better.

Smart terrains and scripts might interfere if you were to do two main quests together.

I finished my last try of Dead Air mod. I complete couple quests, was in swamps, meet repair man, get instruments that allow crafting, cooked some radioactive food, crafted bondage, went to sleep and awoken dead. Thats was last thing that let me understand that i dont like this mod. I tried, really tried, but i dont see anything entertaining, interesting or something good in this mod. Only feature that i kinda enjoyed is color settings in menu, its good. Other things are annoying, boring, stupid and just bad for me. Gunslinger thru its balancing and weapon animation speed essentially heavely pushes you into playing the game like a turtle,without moving from a corner and exploiting the AI
this runs counter to stalker that is supposed to be a fast paced action adventure fps

and it is also very poor for Gunslinger as a hardcore game since it ruins the element of flanking and strategizing

hi, im pretty new to a stalker games, ive been trying to mod og stalker soc with memories of the zone mod but i found trouble do even match the data within the mod and the game itself. is there any guide step by step to explain to me like im 5 what to do with what to play the game with no trouble?

You should look in the usual steam/steamapps/common, after change the fsgame.ltx with notepad to utilize the gamedata folder in that directory

Its alien idea for stalker for me - milsim. Stalker about survival in dangerous places and getting money by risking your life when gathering items in those places, but not really about guns. Guns helping, but its not that important. Ammo, its really important things for survival.
