GAMMA is a collection of addons FOR anomaly that makes it more "hardcore" with a much bigger emphasis on survival, crafting, etc.
True S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is your average story mod but it has a lot of polish and had a lot of hype before release

It's pretty good but I wished the OGSR version was more up to date

its not very well known,and its only 3-4 hours but man,that map is just,a beauty to behold despite being in CoP

||IG the ending fight ius very underwhelming,changing characters was the worst the story couldve done and it kept ruining its own pace,and when the new guy gets trapped by the mercs,what I found out is that the writers seem to have liked Termite more so they were giving him breaks||
||notice how Termite changes as you progress thru the story,as tho the writers started seeing him as the coolest mf around and wanted him to do the cool stuff and all,but yhea,Chapter 8-9 are crap,the objectives arent good,the quests arent very good,the side objectives are worse,and it has prob the best shootout of the entire game that turns out to be too short,its a shame,since Axe was a strong character despite being a snotty brat who pushed his luck,the guy we got after axe is killed is just a cardboard cutout,a parody of a military badass guy,no personality whatsoever||

but if I wanted to play good gunfights,I would play NA7

funny how that turned out to be the mod with the strongest firefights...

its in all actuality quite easy,you grab the alphabet and assign a number to each letter
A-1
B-2
C-3
D-4

J-10
K-dead letter,it will ruin the minigame

M-3
etc...
you will have to match the top right letters to the button numbers,you need to do this 10 times
the row is of 10 letters total,and once you do it once it will restart,dont be fooled,in the second round you need to match the second letter of the row not the first,on the third round you match the third letter of the row,do this until you hit 10 and youll unlock it

yhea,everything is fine up until you understand that the row doesnt notify you of which round youre in or blank the ones youre not supposed to do

its induces error in an otherwise assured victory

aside from that,its easy,just keep a sheet of paper by your side with the alphabet connected to the numbers and its easy

the numbered databases have all the games files,from 1.0000 the first version of the game
the numbered databases are how GSC deployed the patches,instead of rebuilding the entire database,they dropped a lettered database with the files that were updated
the files inside these lettered databases are only the ones that were updated adn the engine will use these over the normal game
the game will read them like this db0->db1->db2etc etc->final numbered database->dba->dbb->dbc
for the lettered databases,if database a and database b modify the same file,the file in database b will be used instead of the one in a or the numbered databases

ok so,the actor file is the the denominator of various variables such as damage that is being dealt to the player and probabibility of hit,even the ammount if weight that you can carry and the velocity and power of you speed/jump
try and locate walk_power and change the value
should be line 203

The names are logical and you can use translation tools to understand the comments,remember that if you fuck up you can revert the file and it will work easy as pie

and iirc i should also install ZRP for SoC for bugfixes
aside from that, is there any recommended mod i should install ?

"original unreleased version of stalker" isn't a thing, Oblivion Lost is an era of development 2002-2004, as for OLR, it captures the atmosphere of those builds pretty well (v2.5 at least)

Anomaly is the exception in that it has so many addons you can end up downloading dozens of them, but no other stalker mods are like that]

Interesting question that you likely dont get often, but for pictures i'd like more "dynamic" player models in anomaly. I dont know if there is a mod somewhere about it, but instead of a single playermodel for a whole range of suits, there's varied designs based on specific suits if that makes any sense. It's gunplay is bad and there is no offline A-Life with mutant spawns being very restrictive and telegraphed with a lot of backtracking and running,the story is mid with a weak start,strong middle and just awful end,and most of the side quests are great and fun

Most PCs will suffer from the stuttering because the game is so unoptimized.

They even referenced it in the game.

hud_fov is a parameter that dictates how close or far your weapon is from you,you can try to modify that,but ads fov means changing every file

when youve opened the gamefiles up go into config/weapons.ltx

you will have a series of different weapon files in LTX format

for this next one,I council you to use notepad++,its a better version of the normal notepad,really good

there should be a variable with this,this will require a bit of experimentation to get to where it looks good for you but essentially, think of your weapon as a box in a mathematical graph
its 3d,meaning,it has a xyz parameter,the weapon is commanded by these xyz parameters,the first parameter,the x one,will move it sideways,the y one,the second,will move it to the front or back,and the third,the z parameter,will move it above or below

merely change it to smth youre ok with

after youre done with the files, or you want to experiment,to install the mod all yopu need to do is go to the game folder,create a gamedata folder,and inside that gamedata folder recreate the file structure of where the file was in and drop the modified file in there
basically
say I modified file 91a1.ltx from the configs/weapons folder (this weapon is not in the game and is merely here as an example)
to apply this mod to the game, I merely need to go the the gamedata folder and create a configs/weapons folder and leave the 91a1.ltx file there,if I want to remove the mod,I need to remove the file

alternatively,you can just play with the FOV as it is

So for some reason discord wont open for me anymore, fortunately they still have the choice for desktop, yeah I gave up the mili second I seen x,y,z but fortunately the abr has been running smooth for me and it has fov and hud commands, thankfully I found a hud fov unlocker, going to try and up the anti with the gunslinger mod for consumable animations

Only downside is gunslinger is ran through a seperate application, and unfortunatly im one of those guys who likes to clock hours on my steam profile, thats why Im hoping I can find a way to put the gunslingers userdata, patches, bin folders into CoP without breaking it.

you can find a way to route Gunslinger to work thru Steam buuuut I dont recommend ABR nor Gunslinger for first timers
Gunslinger adds 2 quests and completely rebalances the game
ABR introduces new bugs,memory leaks and rebalances the entire game recontextualizng it

@pine bobcat shadow of chernobyl does have some jank issues but its mostly just gameplay jank. nothing will infuriate you or anything (most likely), its just the weapons and ballistics stuff take some getting used to. clear sky def has some annoying parts and i would say its more jank, but its still great. call of pripyat is excellent and the only janky parts really are just the weapon systems like the rest of the series

but its by no means a retread

CoP has the least ammount of replayable and durable content,and is the most disjointed and rushed of all the 3
CS and SoC have a lot of care in its world and maps while CoP doesnt
this has to do with development cycles and dev time unfortunatly

the fact taht CoP was handed a shitty hand and is still beloved shows you a lot

I didnt even know the other games had replayability, I heard CoP had a freemode when beating game I supposing but I always tohught the other games were linear

freeplay after beating the game ends up being finishing any quest you havent and that is it
CoP has no tangible free world nor any interesting bits really,its much like a rollercoaster
CS and SoC are more free,action oriented experiences taht let you do a lot of what you want,even with definite endings they feel like a freer experience than CoP Freeplay ever could

So only thing I ask of SoC is hud, fov sliders/unlocker, updated graphics, any suggestions?

If im looking for better graphics do I look for reshades or will that effect the game preformance?
