SGM was brilliant, but buggy, incomplete and gated for non russian. Okay bro, go to the same appdata folder! You'll see a folder named game logs or logs, open it and open the latest file you find there. Scroll down to the bottom and screenshot it. It would be better if you restart your game and let it crash on purpose and do what I said to get the needed info.
If you can upload the whole file it would be better tho

Okay then delete the appdata folder with all its contents (unless you want to keep saves and in the case copy the last save you had and put it somewhere else then delete the folder.) Then run the game and see if something changes. If it worked you can put back your save where you first found it as the game will recreate the appdata folder again when you run it.
(Deleting the appdata folder will reset your game to default settings so it might help.)

you go to the game relations file, you change the values from -1000/-5000 to 1000 in both lines the upper and the lower

you change actor x faction

if you want neutral then you can set the value to "0"

if you want friend you set it to 1000+

so technically all you need to do is change the corresponding value

so technically you go as I marked in the table up there, pick the corresponding lines and in this case the one between red [] then change -2000 to 0 or 1000 or just remove the minus

but here you will be excluded from the equation

(the changes to the table up there are supposed to only make the two factions cease fire and not attack each other but still youll be attacked if you cross path with the originally enemy faction unless you do the change I mentioned to the actor or actor dolg/ freedom in case you joined a faction)

You can edit factions relation in nearly all mods and base games! Some just have some mods does not allow it to work due to a hidden lock stored in the gamedata

The values I mentioned up there are universal so yes! You technically have to change the original values to the new ones to get a faction to be neutral or friend in case they originally have negative goodwill toward actor or other factions

You gotta edit the factions relation file for anomaly and you'll be good to go. However, it needs to be applied to a new game or else it may not work due to the progress made. (Actor and factions relations does get goodwill progress while playing so it will not work in case someone already progressed in the game.)

You can either play the chronological order as in CS, SoC, then CoP, or the release date order as in SoC, CS, and CoP

Chronological order is based on story and events order.

There’s also mods which have soc main quest line but are extended with more story lines and lots of new stuff

Not necessarily, I just completed what I liked. Some of the ones mentioned seemed a little weird. But even the ones that I did not complete had a fair amount of hours as I usually drop emm out mainly for two good reasons

1 is a bug I could not fix

2 is a static vibe

Wind of time was relatively short but kinda peaked my a bit. Spatial anomaly was the best of the ones you mentioned

Path I to the dark (mist) was fun and if I remember right I revisited the machine translation and fixed a lot of texts then some crazy game breaking bug occured mid game and it forced me to let it go. 😅

Gamma uses discord and moddb basically and it’s entirely free. The only bottleneck to get it is your internet connection speed and your ability to read the install guide 💚

check the addon version to see if it is compatible with your game or if you installed something else, dds files are very sensitive but something else may have changed, there is a folder in the configs called ui it contains data regarding how the game will interpret the size of the icons in terms of resolution. if you understand something about programming take a look at configs/ui

Howdy, this is a longshot, but has anyone who's played GoldSphere been able to disable or tone down all the shakey screen effects for pain and such? I neeed to remove it. I have headbob disabled, but that isn't not it.

I've attemped to disable the Earthequake effect in xr_effectors in it's pain function, but no dice.

Edit: I got it, i had to go into blender and edit the earthquake animation file.

if its a "screen" shake it's probably related to the anm file, you can change it to a static camera dummy anm file

Howdy, i don't actually mod stalker but i can tell you at least two good resources.

1. http://sdk.stalker-game.com/en/index.php?title=S.T.A.L.K.E.R._MOD_portal This is a wiki that's focused on modding the older games, with links to alot of programs and walkthrough on how to do this and that. It doesn't seem terribly well organized, but it tought me enough about some basics that i managed to edit some files.

2.https://igigog.github.io/anomaly-modding-book/index.html the better resource, a huge how-to manual for modding Staker: anomoly. There are differences between it and modding Soc, but alll the info about how to edit and use obscure file types, how the xray engine broadly works, and how to add these ideas and that with MODERN tools is very very useful. This is where i learned how to get rid of a camera shake, by downloading the blender addon to import anim files and removing the shake from a camera animation in SoC (cuz stuff like camshake is baked into a hard animation file for some ungoldly reason)

That's ontop of using an unpacker of some sort (there's a couple around) to get the script and asset files from an install of SoC. Those you edit with the various IDEs or rewrite using LUA, as all the scripts are in LUA.

there's deeper stuff with more fundamental rewriting of the engine files using the sdk or map making, but that's beyond anything i know.

you should not use references to anomaly modding when we talk about modding Xray 1.0 since anomaly uses a modified OpenXray 1.6 engine,and many things will be changed
the SDK website is the best,you should also ask other ppl who do modding and try to watch some russian videos with auto translate since,there are tutorials they simply arent in english
as leth says,for all things scripting you should LUA,and then try to work on the official SDK for maps and the like,but if you want to work on the engine itself for some reason or to add a function you should look into C++

edit; Sorry, this was a really unhelpful message. My sound-related issue came from a bad isntall of openal not finding my audio device and crashing the sound editor. fixed that with a new openal install

my game was at too many fps when i started stalker anomaly, however when i changed a setting (shadows on my character) the game just entered a 2 fps phase, in game and in the menu, and it doesn't come out at all, even i putting reset settings
