See that's what I thought! But he had 20 dang mutant kills, a bunch of assorted loot and 10 DANG SNORK HANDS (presumably to make a necklace or something) so he's obviously a Rookie in rank alone. Either way, a valuable member to the team. Especially since we ran into some dead Mercs and he was happy to swap his PPSH for a...Errm...One of those AS VALs that isn't an AS VAL. 😁

Our main missions were, when we were walking the mountains, if soldier had in stock AK74 and AS Val, he was usually chosing AS Val during his mountain missions, because distance of shooting is pretty low, so AS Val was pretty enough. But it has one big problem - 20 rounds mag, f.e, and rounds are heavy, weight of ammunition is big too...

@broken cedar Yeah, as people here have already said, the radiation in the area is much safer than it used to be since a good amount of it has reached it's half life or been blown away by the weather. The biggest problem now is that the whole area has been sat empty for 40 years; so much of it is probably hilariously structurally unsafe, most notably the plant itself. Soviet civil engineering is good, but it isn't good enough to prevent 40 years of unchecked erosion by the elements. Not to mention there'll be pockets of still-dangerous fallout contained within the various structures in the area, if something should collapse then it could disturb those pockets which would cause issues.
