im using frame gen ON. and yes, its causing input lag indeed. they fixed it not to be so bad, but after recently playing metro games and when i went back to stalker, i really feel the difference input lag considered. without frame generator the game is unplayable, but i actually tried to play without it ONLY before all main patches were released. so i dont know how it would be now without frame gen after the patches are installed, but im afraid to touch anything in graphics settings menu not to fuk up the game once again.

"locking" your framerate in nvcp just caps the max framerate as well, and if you have a gsync capable monitor, you should be -3 below your max refresh anyhow

well its not the case actually. you need to understand how frame generation works actually. in a well optimized game gpu ALWAYS should be fully utilized and stable on 99 perc or REALLY close to 99 all the time. frame gen just makes more fps but that doesnt mean that it forces your gpu to work much more. it would maybe force CPU more tho. more frames = more CPU usage. wanted to explain how frame generation works but it would be pain in the ass to explain it while typing text, but knowing how it works it would be maybe easier to understand how in this case more fps doesnt equal so much of bigger gpu usage. cpu is more affected in this case.

bro ive spent nearly 8k hours in csgo, i really prefer for no input lag at all. but i own 3070 gpu only which really struggles to run stalker 2 without frame generator - it stutters and fps is way too unstable in that case. i tried to play on medium and lower settings but it didnt help too much and i really dont want to throw away good graphics from this game too. okay i get the gpu utilization but my personal opinion on frame gen will be the same of keeping it off, until one day it magically gives me the same input latency as the fps its displaying i will keep it off, but i still don't know why my gpu utilization is not capping out like I guess it should, maybe its my engine.ini tweaks, maybe its not but still another reason its not fully being utilized is because of the unreal engine command i use to remove the lag one frame behind disabling the improved perfomance that introduces a slight input delay but even then it still doesnt max out so somethin else must be happening 🤷

you know, i had this problem with an unstable cpu. i had a 5800x back then. it was overclocked, but the voltage was just a tad too low. everything worked just fine.

but when i booted up battlefield 1, after a few minutes, my system would bsod. battlefield 1 up to this day, was the only game that was able to stress my cpu enough, that it caused a crash. none of hte stress testers was able to reproduce the result

i RMA'd the cpu. got one in return that had better silicone. it ran perfectly, up until i bought the 5800x3d

so something is causing the system to crash, giving an error for power drawn. system crashes as if too much power is drawn, but there is plenty of headroom. no bsod, so most likely no crash dumps either...i mean, could check for them.

they should be located at C:\Windows\minidump

the only advice i can give for now, is to check inside your desktop. replug all the cables. make sure that the gpu receives enough power. i know nvidia loves to make things complicated with their 12v connectors. unless you have a PSU specifically made for nvidia gpu's, it can be a hassle to make them work properly.

This is the Lesser Zone, all the way to the south at the great wall. Is it not possible to take this location? I kill 4 soldiers at the gate watch tower. There seems to be 3 or 4 inside. However, the longer I wait, the men seem to keep spawning endless replacements. The worst part is how the game is designed to prevent me from saving my game once the action starts. That means I have just wasted 30 minutes here, using up all my ammo and medkits, fighting the endless spawns here until I die, since beating a scenario usually allows you to save only afterwards.

How to enter ?

I am familiar with this location, I used that inifinite patrol reinforcement chain to farm equipment to sell and make cash early in the game. You never take over the location, but you can enter it and loot everything inside as long as you keep killing the spawns as they come in. Mutants like herds of Fleshes and Pigs will also spawn and come in, rarely Snorks will too, but the mutants and the reinforcement patrols will fight each other and you can just clean up the survivors (usually mutants) and get free loot.

sure, i recognise the difficulties. the talent moving on from gsc to 4a games. gsc existing in name only for almost a decade until they finally were able to pick up the work on stalker 2 again, only to be hard countered by a war. but then they should have been more truthful in disclosing their information. that the game shouldnt be met with too high expectations. the game will be buggy at first. Alife wont work as advertised. they didnt do that. they didnt let us know that Alife didnt work as intended. they just mentioned Alife would work better with 1.1. we were quite suprised to find out alife was almost non functional at release.

For anyone who remembers me from a few days ago, I had an issue where when I booted up the game my CPU temps would sky rocker to above 90° and would completely shut off my PC. Well I managed to find a fix by undervolting all my cores to hit temps no higher than 80°, that seems to have stabilised everything when booting the game.
